After India’s big flag, Pakistan’s is now set to hoist the eighth largest flag in the world at the Wagah border and the arrangements for it are in full swing.

The said flag will be installed in the park adjacent to the border. It would measure 400 feet in height and is 120 feet wide giving tough competition to the Indian flag.

 

The festive parade at the Wagah border is attended by visitors from people across Pakistan and India and is one to be witnessed. Coupled with march pasts and patriotic slogans the ceremony is full of fervour and passion.

In order to hoist the flag, work has begun using machinery to remove trees and bushes to make space for the largest flag of Pakistan.
