Nvidia Becomes the First Company to Hit $4 Trillion in Market Value

nvidia-becomes-the-first-company-to-hit-4-trillion-in-market-value
Source: Reddit

On July 9, 2025, Nvidia set a record with a market capitalisation of $4 trillion. That is the first public company in history to reach this height. Although the valuation fell slightly by the close of the market, the moment was a historic triumph, marked by its leadership in AI.

Why $4 Trillion Matters

This achievement confirms Nvidia isn’t merely another technology behemoth. It broke all the rules. Apple and Microsoft are the only two companies to cross $3 trillion. However, Nvidia outperformed them in just two years, leveraging the AI wave.

The market now ranks Nvidia as one of the largest global brands, wealthier than all publicly listed companies in Mexico and Canada combined.

Investors threw cash at Nvidia for one reason: AI. Its chips drive almost all of the leading generative AI models. It is at the centre of demand in data centres. Its revenues surged 69% in Q1 to $44.1 billion. Profits did the same.

Most analysts now rate it as “buy,” and the average price target is $174 a share, higher than today’s approximately $164.

What Sets It Apart

Nvidia evolved from a gaming GPU frontrunner into the pillar of AI computing. Its path from $1 trillion in mid-2023 to $2 trillion six months later and to $3 trillion earlier this year is unprecedented momentum.

In a little over two years, it grew to three times the size, in comparison to Apple and Microsoft’s more incremental ascents.

Markets welcomed the news. The S&P 500 reached record highs as Nvidia led the pack. However, experts have issued a warning about the risk of concentration. Nvidia alone now represents more than 7% of the index, surpassing Apple and Microsoft. A stumble in AI demand, chip regulation, or global trade could bring it crashing down.

So, What’s Next?

Expect Nvidia to reach even higher. Some forecasters project a $5–6 trillion market cap in 18 months, fueled by further AI growth. Rivals such as AMD and Intel can leap ahead, but Nvidia remains the reigning champion for the time being.

It will make significant deployments of Blackwell GPUs. It will enhance data-centre capabilities and accommodate additional AI workloads. Any export ban, particularly to China, can provoke violent market responses.

NVIDIA hits $4 Trillion Market Cap

Nvidia didn’t just ride the AI wave; it shaped it. Reaching $4 trillion mark is a pivotal moment in tech history. This isn’t about gaming framerates, it’s about laying the foundation of tomorrow’s AI infrastructure. That said, no giant stays at the top forever.

Regulatory risks loom. AI competition intensifies. Yet Nvidia’s blend of innovation, execution, and timing remains unmatched.

Nvidia’s milestone marks a significant turning point. It transitions from tech darling to historical giant. The game is different now, and Nvidia is leading the way. Eyes now look to what is next: the path to $5 trillion, competition, and how this chipmaker could reshape tomorrow’s AI world.

President Zardari Approves Ordinance to Regulate Crypto in Pakistan

president-zardari-approves-ordinance-to-regulate-crypto-in-pakistan

President Zardari has approved the ‘Virtual Assets Ordinance, 2025’ to create a crypto regulator.

Earlier, officials had confused the public by referring to it as the ‘Virtual Assets Act, 2025.’ However, later, authorities clarified that it was an ordinance, not an act. The government used Article 89 to issue it during a parliamentary break. This ordinance stays valid for 120 days.

According to the Gazette of Pakistan (dated July 9, 2025), the ordinance (No. VII of 2025) came into effect on July 8. It creates a new regulator for crypto licensing and oversight.

Soon after, the SAPM on blockchain and crypto released a statement. He said, “The president has approved the landmark Virtual Assets Act 2025 on the prime minister’s advice.”

The statement also noted that the cabinet, the PM, and the president all endorsed it. This law sets up the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA).

PVARA will license, regulate, and supervise crypto companies. It aims to improve transparency, ensure compliance, and prevent illegal activities.

To align with FATF rules, the authority will enforce global standards. Its board will include the State Bank governor and top government secretaries.

Moreover, heads of SECP, FBR, and Digital Pakistan Authority will join the board. The government will appoint two outside experts in tech, finance, or law.

It will choose the chairperson based on proven experience in law, finance, tech, or regulation. Anyone offering crypto services must now apply for a PVARA license.

The licensing process will require incorporation, operations capacity, and a reporting setup. Additionally, the law introduces a regulatory sandbox for testing innovation.

PVARA can also issue no-action letters to support new ideas under limits. To ensure Sharia compliance, the law forms a special Sharia Advisory Committee.

Licensed firms offering Islamic financial products must follow the committee’s rulings. For appeals, a Virtual Assets Appellate Tribunal will act with full independence. It will feature judges and experts in law, tech, and finance. Notably, this move came less than four months after Pakistan launched the Crypto Council.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb leads the Council. Meanwhile, Bilal Bin Saqib serves as CEO and holds the title of PM’s special assistant.

PSG Humble Real Madrid to Book Club World Cup Final Spot

psg-humble-real-madrid-to-book-club-world-cup-final-spot

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) continued their brilliant run and registered a thumping 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the Club World Cup semi-final, silencing their doubters once and for all.

Kylian Mbappe may have grabbed the headlines pre-match, but it was Fabian Ruiz and Ousmane Dembele who owned the evening as PSG stormed into the Club World Cup final, setting up a blockbuster clash with Chelsea this Sunday.

Early Blitz Leaves Real Reeling

It didn’t take long for PSG to stamp their authority. Just six minutes in, Ruiz was on hand to finish after Dembele forced a save from Courtois. Three minutes later, it was Dembele himself finding the net after capitalising on a costly error from Antonio Rudiger.

And just like that, PSG were two goals up in the Club World Cup semi-final, and Real Madrid, along with over 77,000 fans, mostly clad in white, were stunned into silence.

Dembele and Ruiz Steal the Spotlight

What made this win even more impressive was the fluency and freedom with which Luis Enrique’s side played. With Willian Pacho suspended, you’d have expected defensive uncertainty. But Lucas Beraldo slotted in seamlessly, and from back to front, PSG looked a team playing with swagger and belief.

Their third goal, a flowing move starting with Donnarumma and ending with Ruiz slotting past Valverde, epitomised their dominance. Real Madrid simply couldn’t keep up.

This wasn’t just a tactical masterclass. It was a statement of intent from a team that’s already clinched Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League this season.

With Dembele scoring his 35th goal since August and Goncalo Ramos adding a late fourth, the Parisians proved their squad depth and sharp attacking instincts.

Madrid Left Searching for Answers

As for Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid, this was a tough reality check. Their high hopes of lifting the first-ever 32-team Club World Cup were crushed, and despite having stars like Bellingham and Vinicius, they rarely looked threatening.

Alonso admitted as much post-match: “We were not good enough today. We have a lot of things to improve.”

He wasn’t wrong. When your team has to resort to taking off its best players with 30 minutes to play, the message is clear: damage control.

A Final for the Ages Awaits

PSG will now face Chelsea in the final of the Club World Cup. A battle between a side chasing a perfect season and another eager to spoil the party.

If PSG manage to clinch the title on Sunday, they’ll complete an extraordinary treble, Ligue 1, Champions League and Club World Cup, and forever redefine their place in football history.

Pakistan Batter Puzzled by Hasan Ali’s Omission from Bangladesh T20Is

hasan-ali-makes-roaring-return-to-international-cricket

In a week dominated by squad announcements and debates over fresh faces, one name’s absence has left many scratching their heads, i.e., Hasan Ali.

Among those voicing surprise is Sohaib Maqsood, the seasoned Pakistan batter, who has openly questioned the exclusion of the in-form pacer from the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

Backing the New Blood, But Still Puzzled

Maqsood, never shy to speak his mind, took to X (formerly Twitter) to support the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to inject fresh talent into the squad. However, he was quick to single out Hasan Ali’s omission as an eyebrow-raiser.

“I’m totally in favour of the changes made for the Bangladesh tour. Earlier, we used to complain that no one gets a chance, so how would we build bench strength?” Maqsood posted.

“Now that different new players are getting opportunities, suddenly everyone has issues. Only Hasan Ali’s exclusion is surprising; he made a comeback after a long time, had a great series, and now he’s been rested again.”

pakistan-batter-puzzled-by-hasan-ali-omission-t20i-squad

Hasan Ali’s Hot Streak in England

The puzzlement surrounding Hasan’s exclusion is understandable. The right-arm pacer is currently lighting up the Vitality Blast in England, representing Birmingham Bears.

His numbers speak for themselves:

  • 21 wickets in just 9 games
  • An impressive bowling average of 13.38
  • Currently third on the list of leading wicket-takers

With stats like that, it’s hard to argue against his case.

Pakistan’s New-Look Squad for Bangladesh

To be fair, the selectors have opted for a largely experimental squad, perhaps with an eye on long-term planning. Salman Ali Agha leads the side in the absence of key seniors, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and the injured duo Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf.

Here’s a look at the 15-man squad: Salman Ali Agha (c), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, Sufiyan Moqim

Journalism Icon Zubeida Mustafa Dies in Karachi

journalism-icon-zubeida-mustafa-dies-in-karachi

On Wednesday, veteran writer Zubeida Mustafa died in Karachi at 84 years old after being sick for a while. Her death signals the conclusion of a legendary era in Pakistani journalism.

Among the first female journalists in the nation, Zubeida has over 50 years of experience. She not only created space for herself but also cleared the path for others. For many women, she showed that their voice mattered.

Zubeida’s work primarily addressed topics often overlooked: education, health, and gender equality. Her writing aimed to bring to light problems affecting individuals rather than to attract notice. Her words always sprang from a point of will.

Never booming or dramatic, Zubeida’s style was deliberate and subdued. Her work, meanwhile, had profound and long-lasting effects. She believed in the power of straightforward talk.

Zubeida won the International Women’s Media Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. She was the first Pakistani woman to be given this honour. It was a proud moment in Pakistani journalism.

The IWMF complimented her as a female media inspiration. The award honoured a career founded on bravery, clarity, and care. It mirrored the silent power that characterised her labour.

Zubeida avoided the spotlight. Her attention stayed on the individuals whose stories she related. She thought reporting was about service rather than prestige.

Her friends, coworkers, and family are in great sorrow. Many recall her integrity, knowledge, and compassion.

Her burial was attended by close friends and family members in Karachi.

Zubeida Mustafa played a significant role in shaping Pakistan’s journalistic legacy. She may no longer write, but her words and their meaning will always stay with us.

Qatari Princess Conquers Pakistan’s Mountain, PM Appoints Her As Brand Ambassador

qatari-princess-conquers-pakistans-mountain-pm-appoints-her-as-brand-ambassador

Extreme adventure sports, such as climbing mountains, were once thought to be reserved for men. Still, Qatari Princess, Sheikha Asma Al-Thani, is pushing boundaries and breaking barriers in the male-dominated field of mountaineering.

As announced on Instagram, Al-Thani recently scaled Pakistan’s Nanga Parbat, known as the country’s “Killer Mountain.” This was the Qatari royal’s ninth 8000er, taking her a step closer to conquering her dream of climbing all fourteen eight-thousanders.

Her physical and emotional struggle, which ended with her planting Qatar’s flag atop the summit of Nanga Parbat, has created a powerful ripple effect that could have implications in Pakistan too.

Sheikha: The Brand Ambassador for Pakistan’s Mountains and Tourism

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was quick to recognise Al-Thani’s heroic accomplishments on X, formerly known as Twitter. The premier also announced that the Qatari princess would be the brand ambassador for Pakistan’s Mountains and Tourism.

Not only was the PM’s announcement a fitting celebration of Al-Thani’s mountaineering prowess, but it was also a symbolic indication of the growing friendship between Pakistan and Qatar, enhancing regional cooperation in a volatile region during testing times.

Furthermore, with the Qatari mountaineer as a focal point in Pakistan’s growing tourism industry, this move could yield economic benefits, creating jobs locally and expanding the footprint of extreme adventure sports.

As extreme sports take over Pakistan’s mountains, thousands of athletes and mountaineers are poised to ascend the Islamic Republic’s peaks.

Lastly, Al-Thani is a role model for girls of all ages. Her story and accomplishments have blazed a trail for many adventurous teenagers, who could take inspiration from her journey and overcome every obstacle in front of them.

Al-Thani’s Successful Climb Marks a New Peak for Pakistan-Qatar ties

Sheikha Asma Al-Thani’s successful ascent of Nanga Parbat is more than a mountaineering milestone. It is a symbol of courage, diplomacy, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Her appointment as Pakistan’s Brand Ambassador for Mountains and Tourism is a timely recognition of her ability to inspire, connect, and advocate for both environmental stewardship and humanitarian causes.

As a trailblazer in global adventure sports, Sheikha Asma not only strengthens Pakistan-Qatar relations but also places Pakistan’s majestic peaks firmly on the world tourism map.

Historical Stories Behind the Biggest Cultural Monuments of Pakistan

historical-stories-behind-the-biggest-cultural-monuments-of-pakistan

Most of us have walked past these grand old structures in Pakistan and thought, “Nice building. Moving on.” However, the truth is that behind all the cultural monuments of Pakistan lies a story worth hearing.

Lahore Fort & Badshahi Mosque

In Lahore, two imposing siblings stand guard over the city’s rich history.

The Lahore Fort, a massive fortress built during Emperor Akbar’s reign in the 16th century, stands majestically in the heart of the city. Its Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) and Naulakha Pavilion are celebrated for their intricate tile work and mirror mosaics.

Across the Hazuri Bagh, the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, built by Emperor Aurangzeb in 1673, is one of the largest mosques in the world and a quintessential example of Mughal architecture. Constructed in red sandstone with marble inlays, its massive courtyard can hold up to 100,000 worshippers, making it a symbol of the Mughal Empire’s grandeur and power.

The site has endured Sikh stables and British barracks, and till today, it stands as a symbol of pride for Pakistan.

Rohtas Fort

Built by Sher Shah Suri in the 16th century, Rohtas Fort is Pakistan’s military marvel, which the Mughals later fortified to guard against invasions. Spread over 4 km, Rohtas Fort has 12 gates, with the Sohail Gate being the grandest.

Its blend of Afghan and Mughal architecture symbolises the power struggles of the era. The fort remains one of the best-preserved fortresses in South Asia and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Fun fact: It was meant to keep out the Mughals, but eventually, they took over anyway. Classic!

Makli Necropolis

Yes, it’s a cemetery. But not just any cemetery.

Makli Necropolis, located near the town of Thatta in Sindh, is one of the largest and oldest burial grounds in the world. It covers an area of over 10 square kilometres and contains tombs dating back to the 14th century.

From kings and queens to Sufi saints, everyone is buried here, and each grave tells a story of faith, art, and forgotten power. Walking through Makli feels like wandering through centuries.

Goosebumps, literal goosebumps!

Ranikot Fort

Onto the great wall of Pakistan (this is no exaggeration).

Tucked away in Sindh, Ranikot Fort is HUGE, like 30 km long huge! People call it the Great Wall of Sindh. No one’s totally sure who built it or why, which only adds to the mystery.

Some say it’s a Talpur-era creation from the 1800s; others say it’s way older. Either way, it’s a surreal place to visit. This colossal stone labyrinth is a majestic silhouette rising from the plains, which is a humbling reminder of regional power and mystery.

Mohatta Palace

In Karachi’s Clifton district, the pink-stoned Mohatta Palace reflects the opulence of 1920s India. Apparently, it was built in the 1920s by a wealthy Hindu businessman, Shivratan Mohatta, who just wanted a summer home.

Just rich people things!

Made from luxe Jodhpur stone and local yellow sandstone, this Indo-Saracenic palace has preserved its grandeur post-Partition, now serving as a museum that bridges the past and present.

More than Just Buildings

It’s easy to scroll past our own history, especially when it’s buried under traffic, politics, and Netflix. But these monuments? They aren’t just bricks and stone; they’re reminders of who we were, who we are, and what we could be.

Ferrero Set to Buy WK Kellogg for $3 Billion

ferrero-set-to-buy-wk-kellogg-for-3-billion

Shares of WK Kellogg, the company that makes Froot Loops and Frosted Flakes, jumped 50% after a report by the Wall Street Journal said Ferrero, best known for Nutella and Ferrero Rocher, was close to buying the company for $3 billion. The deal could be finalised this week.

The Wall Street Journal stated that Ferrero would acquire WK Kellogg for $3 billion. This could be Ferrero’s biggest buy so far. The company was founded in the 1940s in Italy and has since expanded into North America.

In 2022, Ferrero bought Wells Enterprises, a US ice cream company that owns Blue Bunny and Blue Ribbon. It also purchased Nestlé’s US chocolate business. Now, buying WK Kellogg would add more well-known cereal brands, such as Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes, and Apple Jacks, to its list.

WK Kellogg has a market value of about $1.5 billion. Last year, Ferrero made 18.4 billion euros in revenue. Neither Ferrero nor WK Kellogg commented on the report.

In 2022, Kellogg decided to split its business. It kept the snack side and renamed it Kellanova. The goal was to allow each business to grow at its own pace. Kellanova has also grown through other deals.

Last year, Mars bought Kellanova for $35.9 billion. If Ferrero’s deal happens, it would be another major change in the snack market. Shoppers are adjusting their spending habits and reducing their purchases due to high prices.

WK Kellogg’s CEO, Gary Pilnick, faced backlash last year when he said people could eat cereal for dinner. This was during a time when food prices were very high.

Honda Car Prices Increased Due to NEV levy, Effective July 1, 2025

Buying a new Honda Civic is beyond the means of many.

What does traffic look like at 7 PM on a weekday in Pakistan’s metropolitan cities?

The typical main road in Lahore at rush hour sees throngs of cars with countless scattered motorcycles and rickshaws fighting to switch lanes.

In recent years, old models of automobiles have persisted. While newer versions are seldom seen on the streets due to high prices.

Buying a new Honda Civic was traditionally beyond the means of the average middle-class family in Pakistan. However, the recent price hikes have made the purchase a pipe dream for even the wealthiest.

Honda Car Prices in Pakistan Have Hiked

The prices for Honda’s latest automobiles have been revised, effective immediately from July 1, 2025, as per the policies implemented via the Federal Budget for FY 2025/26.

The primary catalyst for the revision of prices was the introduction of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy, as part of the federal budget, which has made automobiles more expensive.

The government introduced the NEV tax to encourage potential car buyers to switch to electric and hybrid vehicles. For long-term environmental sustainability and protection.

Increasing the price of vehicles that run on internal combustion engines, i.e., ICE vehicles. This will demotivate users from purchasing such automobiles and consider a shift to greener mobility.

Customers can expect price hikes ranging from PKR 47,000 to PKR 201,000 on various models. The Honda City 1.2 MT will now be sold for PKR 4,696,000, a jump of 41,000 from its previous price.

Potential car-buyers can purchase the Honda Civic Turbo RS for PKR 10,100,000, a massive increase of 201,000. Other models lie within the aforementioned range.

Honda has revised the prices of their cars

The Government is Forcing Consumers To Make Difficult Choices

The NEV levy, intended as an environmental nudge, has added considerable cost to new ICE vehicles in Pakistan. Honda Atlas, along with other automakers, has formalised these changes starting this month.

For consumers, this signals both a price increase and a broader systemic shift toward greener mobility, even as ICE vehicles remain dominant for now.

This puts consumers in an interesting position. At one end of the spectrum, a sustainable environment is in everyone’s interest, but the hybrid automobile industry still has a long way to go. Until then, they have no choice but to use the ICE vehicles.

From Krypton to Chaos: Every Superman Movie Ranked From Best to Worst

every-superman-movie-ranked-from-best-to-worst
every-superman-movie-ranked-from-best-to-worst

Superman remains the ultimate symbol of truth, justice, and hope. Over decades, he soared across big screens. From the bright optimism of Christopher Reeve to the modern ambition of Henry Cavill and the hopeful reboot by James Gunn. Some movies captured the hero’s spirit perfectly. Others stumbled under shifting tones and budgets.

1. Superman II (1980)

It builds on the first film’s foundation but adds depth—more character, more conflict, more charm. Lois learns Clark’s secret, and their dynamic finally blooms. The balance of drama, action, and genuine heart makes this sequel still resonate today.

2. Superman: The Movie (1978)

Christopher Reeve nailed the role. John Williams’ score gave the hero real grandeur. It set the tone for all superhero origin stories. Yes, its pace is leisurely but that allows us to root for Clark from Krypton to Metropolis.

3. Superman (2025)

James Gunn’s reboot brings a hopeful, earnest vibe. Critics compare it to early Spider-Man films; fun, emotional, and visually bright. David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan spark with chemistry. It’s a fresh take on Superman’s immigrant identity, and inclusion of fan-favourite Krypto feels like a love letter to the character while modernising him for today’s audience

4. Man of Steel (2013)

Henry Cavill brought brooding depth. It rebooted the mythos and brought Nolan-style gravitas. Yes, critics pointed out the dark tone and catastrophic fights, but if you want emotional stakes and philosophical angst, this delivers.

5. Superman Returns (2006)

Bryan Singer honoured 1978’s magic: nostalgic, slick, emotional. Visuals shine, and moments feel epic. But it also drags. The plot pacing sags, and we wait too long forthe  payoff. Still, it’s stylish and heartfelt.

6. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

It had ambition, pitting legends together in mythic conflict. But it was too dark and confusing. It lost its middle in tonal shifts and overloaded drama. The “Ultimate Edition” fixes some plot holes, but the base film still feels overwrought.

7. Zack Snyder’s Justice League (Superman section)

from-krypton-to-chaos-every-superman-movie-ranked-from-best-to-worst
Source: Game radar

Though not a pure Superman film, his return is the highlight. Snyder’s aesthetic style gives Cavill a chance to shine again. Critics remember Snyder’s version as flawed, but Superman’s return bit stands out as emotional and triumphant.

8. Superman III (1983)

It shifts from drama to wacky comedy. Richard Pryor’s humour clashes with impersonal sci-fi elements. The tonal confusion derails Reeve’s performance, but the junkyard fight shows potential that never fully materialises

from-krypton-to-chaos-every-superman-movie-ranked-from-best-to-worst

9. Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987)

The budget collapse shows. Cheap effects, lousy script, and preachy tone make it feel amateurish. It nearly ruined Reeve’s superhero run and should have stayed away from nuclear lectures.

from-krypton-to-chaos-every-superman-movie-ranked-from-best-to-worst
Source: DC Comics

10. Justice League (2017)

It’s Superman’s moment arrives too late, blink and you miss it. The film feels disjointed, uneven, and overly padded. Only with Snyder’s later cut did Cavill feel valuable again. But the theatrical cut ranks low because of its lack of cohesion.

from-krypton-to-chaos-every-superman-movie-ranked-from-best-to-worst
Source: Variety

These movies document Superman’s on-screen evolution. They reveal how vision and tone define a franchise. The strongest entries balance spectacle, heroism, and mystery. The poorer ones attempted to change direction—and often suffered for it.

Trends Over Time

Golden period (1978–1980): high-minded ideals, robust storytelling, cinematic flair.

Contemporary reboots (2006–2025): darker and more profound, with variable emotional rewards.

Team-up fatigue (2016–2017): superhero saturation. Prefigured Gunn’s wiser reboot.

Superman’s movie legacy is a mixed bag. It started with soaring charm. Contemporary efforts introduce complexity and diminished returns. But with the 2025 reboot, hope is on the screen again. The Man of Steel still gets a standing ovation, but only when filmmakers get the tone right.

Why Everyone Wants to Glow Up But Not Grow Up

why-everyone-wants-to-glow-up-but-not-grow-up

We are living in a time where becoming “hot” is seen as a higher achievement than becoming wise. The internet is full of glow-up videos, side-by-side selfies, and body transformation montages. Perfect skin, snatched waists, flawless makeup; all framed as evidence of self-improvement.

But here’s the thing no one really posts about: While everyone wants to glow up, almost no one wants to grow up.

The Glow Up Illusion: Beauty Over Substance

Glow-up culture feeds us the idea that looking better is the same as being better. That if you lose your weight, fix your hairline and upgrade your wardrobe, you have somehow upgraded as a human being.

But this obsession with outer beauty has created a generation that is more focussed on appearing successful than being sensible.

We praise people for their physical transformations but say little about their character. Can they handle conflict with grace? Do they apologise when they are wrong? Are they listening more than they speak? None of this is captured in a TikTok montage. Because there’s no category for emotional maturity.

And the consequences is a society full of polished, pretty people who can’t hold meaningful conversations, can’t handle criticism and confuse popularity with purpose.

The irony is that all this focus on “bettering” ourselves does nothing to better the world around us. If everyone is working on their jawline but no one is working on their values, where does that leave us as a society?

Why Nobody Cares About Personality Anymore

We now live in a culture where personality is optional, and a great appearance is mandatory. There’s no big moment when someone decides to be less selfish or work on their temper.

Instead, we’re teaching younger generations that it’s better to be admired for how you look than respected for how you treat others. They grow shallow in the name of “growth”.

Glow-up culture sells us a shortcut to self-worth. It teaches this generation that they don’t need to work on their emotional baggage, if their mewing game is strong and they have abs.

On the other hand, this succeeds because the reality of adulting is ugly. Paying bills, setting boundaries, processing grief, admitting when we’re wrong? There’s no aesthetic to that. So instead, we escape into the fantasy of transformation that promises applause without introspection.

Many millennials and Gen Zs have been thrust into economic precarity, rising costs of living and social instability. Who wouldn’t want to focus on contouring and glow serums instead of confronting the crushing weight of adulthood? “Growing up” sounds like a trap when adult life is increasingly out of reach.

But what if, despite the difficulties, we spent half as much time working on our emotional intelligence as we do contouring our noses? Imagine the kind of relationships we could have. Imagine the society we could build.

Why-Nobody-Cares-About-Personality-Anymore

What Happens When Nobody Grows Up?

When we don’t grow up, we repeat the same cycles of insecurity, broken communication and unresolved trauma. We become adults in appearance, but not in emotional capability. And when everyone’s glowing up but nobody’s growing up, we end up with a world full of attractive people who are miserable, shallow, and unable to connect beyond the surface.

No amount of beauty or filters will fix an emotionally bankrupt culture.

So, let’s start valuing depth over aesthetics. Because you can spend thousands on your skincare routine, but if your attitude stinks, you haven’t really “glowed up.” You’ve just covered up.

Every Celebrity That Has Been On Ozempic

Hollywood’s glamour universe runs on image. In recent years, some celebrities who made a career out of body positivity or confronted fat-phobia, now openly admit to using Ozempic or other GLP‑1 medications. This trend raises major questions about culture, health, and image.

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah publicly admitted to using a weight-loss drug. She said it spread “relief, redemption, a gift.” Oprah revealed the drug changed how she saw thinness, shattering myths about willpower and hunger control. She now uses it to manage “food noise” and maintain weight.

Rebel Wilson: From Plus-Size Icon to Ozempic Ally

Rebel Wilson became famous as “Fat Amy” in Pitch Perfect. She established a brand on confidence, inclusivity, and defying body-image norms. Celebrated her curves and asserted that size did not hinder her. Then proclaimed an 80-pound weight loss project, and her career changed direction.

Rebel occasionally resorted to Ozempic to suppress cravings following initial dieting triumph. She revealed it enabled her to break free from stereotypical comic character roles and do more dramatic ones. However, she continues promoting body acceptance and asserts healthy options are more important than looks.

Lizzo: Freedom, Fitness and a Whiff of Ozempic

Lizzo emerged as a force for self-love. Her message and music honour all bodies. She explained in interviews that her weight loss in recent years had resulted from exercise, diet, and overall wellness, not magic pills.

That changed when she confessed to attempting Ozempic during a push for weight loss. She maintained that if it made her feel good and her reflux was better, she wouldn’t judge others for using it. She branded critics as fat-phobic and asserted well-being over thinness.

Kathy Bates: The Surprising Ozempic Admission

Kathy Bates employs her celebrity status to fight against age and weight discrimination. She’s openly borne her larger body all her life. But she did openly discuss using Ozempic. She lost 80 pounds through lifestyle efforts, then lost a further 20 with the assistance of medication.

She emphasised that despite medication, there was still discipline required for forward movement. Her experience highlights a transformation, even mythical icons of natural body acceptance are adopting new medical technologies.

Perez Hilton: From Critic to Champion

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton once mocked weight-loss drugs. He later changed. After losing over 60 pounds, he now praises GLP‑1 meds as legitimate tools when paired with diet and exercise. He urges people to ditch the stigma and talk openly about their use.

Tracy Morgan: Male Voice in the Mix

Comedian Tracy Morgan started using Ozempic in 2023. He joked about gaining and then controlling weight, but ultimately confirmed it helped curb appetite. He calls it a health tool, not a vanity fix.

Ice Spice: Denial Sparks Controversy

Ice Spice skyrocketed as a full-bodied rapper who dismissed size-related rumours. Isis Naija Gaston underwent a striking transformation, and rumours swirled about Ozempic. She responded with video proof, lifting, stretching, doing splits in training, to claim it’s all gym work. She rejected Ozempic publicly.

What Changed?

These stars were once poster children for body diversity. Rebel and Lizzo were also vocal about pushing against societal expectations and celebrating extreme self-love. Now, they are talking about Ozempic openly. Some fans are disappointed. Others view this as evolution, not regression.

Health: To many, they used Ozempic to regulate conditions such as reflux, diabetes, or emotional overeating.

Image: Some embraced roles that fit their own skinnier selves.

Honesty: They think being open outweighs keeping drug use hidden.

Their turnaround also highlights the way Hollywood creates beauty standards. Even icons of abundance feel they must conform to script, camera, or casting. Their embracing of Ozempic indicates a larger cultural reboot.

The Bigger Message

These tales highlight the spotlight Ozempic has gained in Hollywood. The medication might address health and self-esteem, but it comes with risks, too. Loose skin, mood changes, and stigma are not uncommon. Experts have emphasised that medical supervision is important. But Hollywood’s glare has already redefined Ozempic from taboo to tool.

Fans today wonder: Did the stars alter values, or did culture alter around them? For a moment, they are still champions of candour and nuance. They demonstrate that even renowned champions of body positivity can adapt to new realities and that the boundary between self-love and cultural pressure remains indeterminate.

Hollywood’s most outspoken body-positive celebrities now talk openly about Ozempic. Rebel Wilson, Lizzo, and Kathy Bates are at the top of that list. They combine empowerment with vulnerability. Their stories touch on health, image, and decision. They defy simplistic labels. And they remind us that body positivity isn’t about one size. It’s about freedom to love, accommodate, and be real.

Stuffeez Owner Claims He Was Scammed by Shark Tank Pakistan

Is Shark Tank Pakistan a scam?

Six months ago, a passionate young entrepreneur, Abdul Rehman, appeared on Shark Tank Pakistan with his stuffed toy startup Stuffeez.pk. His passion wowed many, including the panel of investors.

The investors offered him a deal of PKR 5 million for 22% equity in his business. This was promised to uplift his startup, which began from his drawing room when he was a 12th-grade student.

Rehman’s rise had the makings of a genuine underdog story, until it wasn’t. Months after his appearance, an unfortunate truth has come into light.

Shark Tank Pakistan Reportedly Scammed Stuffeez Owner

In an Instagram post, Abdul Rehman revealed that the investors featured on Shark Tank Pakistan failed to hold up their end of the bargain, derailing the growth of his startup.

Growth plans were discussed initially, but there was no discussion on funding. Rehman’s diligence and hard work were met with silence as the investors ignored follow-ups. This derailed much progress.

In December 2024, one investor privately contacted the Stuffeez owner with the promise of proceeding with the initial agreement alone. However, he eventually stopped communication, effectively disregarding the initial deal with Rehman.

Rehman publicly called out the investors for their disrespectful behaviour, but remained adamant about growing his brand all by himself.

Abdul Rehman May Not Be The Only Victim

The idea behind Shark Tank Pakistan was that a group of seasoned veterans, called Sharks. These Sharks would sink their teeth into emerging businesses by investing in startups led by entrepreneurs who did not have a definitive source of funding.

Unfortunately, the show has turned out to be a major reality check for the young minds of Pakistan. Abdul Rehman’s story follows a string of accusations by founders that the Sharks had ghosted them.

It appears as if very few of the investments closed, drawing attention to the credibility of the concept. There is no official confirmation of the reports, with the investors remaining silent for the most part.

Shark Tank Pakistan has been renewed for a second season, but if the allegations are proven true, the show may have a difficult time surviving the spotlight and achieving trust from young entrepreneurs.

Everything You Need to Know About Diddy’s Trial, Jay Z and Beyonce

everything-you-need-to-know-about-p-diddys-trial-jay-z-and-beyonce

By now, even the most casual pop culture observer knows that Sean “Diddy” Combs is at the centre of a harrowing legal saga.

A man once known for champagne parties and radio anthems is now surrounded by allegations of coercion, assault, and power abuse. As the courtroom unfolds a version of his life few expected, many are also curious: where do other hip-hop icons like Jay-Z and Beyoncé stand?

The mogul appeared relieved at the outcome, falling to his knees at the verdict before hugging one of his lawyers. But why? Here is how P. Diddy’s trial unfolded.

The Rise and Fall: From Music Mogul to Defendant

For years, Diddy was untouchable. He transformed Bad Boy Records and shaped the sound of 2000s hip-hop. But beneath that gloss, according to prosecutors and over 30 witnesses, was a much darker reality.

In 2023, singer Cassie (Ventura), former girlfriend of Diddy filed a civil lawsuit alleging sexual abuse, coercion and trafficking. That lawsuit was settled in less than 24 hours, but it opened the floodgates. More allegations followed, and by mid-2024, federal authorities had launched a criminal investigation.

The current trial is the culmination of years of rumours, sealed settlements, and private whispers. Testimony has included accounts of drugging, surveillance, and manipulation. According to witnesses, the courtroom felt like a stage for reckoning, not just with one man’s actions, but with an entire culture that enabled them.

What Was Diddy Guilty Of?

On July 2, 2025, Diddy was found guilty of two violations: transporting individuals across state lines for sex and prostitution. He was found not guilty of the more severe charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. While this spared him a possible life sentence, he still faces up to 20 years in prison, with sentencing expected in October.

What shocked many wasn’t just the verdict but its details. The emotional toll on witnesses was obvious. Some broke down on the stand. Others described being silenced by NDAs, financial threats, or sheer fear.

Why Was Diddy Acquitted of Racketeering?

Combs’ acquittal on the most serious charge of racketeering will likely be seen as a big win by his legal team.

His lawyers had sought to undermine the allegation by asking witnesses whether Combs’ employees ever witnessed the freak-offs.

Cassie Ventura, the star witness for the prosecution, said she did not think they were present.

Defence lawyers argued that the case cannot be considered to be racketeering if members of Combs’ staff were not knowingly complicit.

“Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?” said defence attorney Marc Agnifilo. “Did any witness get on that witness stand and say ‘yes, I was part of a racketeering enterprise, I engaged in racketeering’?”

Robert Mintz, a criminal defence lawyer and former federal prosecutor, told the BBC that the racketeering charge was always going to be the most challenging one for prosecutors to prove to a jury.

To gain a conviction, lawyers needed to prove that Combs established a coordinated plan between himself and at least one other person to commit at least two crimes over a span of several years, Mr Mintz said.

“It’s a very complicated charge, used typically in the past in organised crime prosecution,” Mr Mintz said, adding it is unsurprising that this charge gave the jury the most difficulty

So, Where Do Jay Z and Beyoncé Fit Into All This?

To be clear: neither Jay Z nor Beyoncé has been implicated in any of the criminal allegations. But their names have surfaced, not in courtrooms, but in conversations.

Diddy was a longtime friend and peer. He and Jay Z shared stages, investments, and parties. Beyoncé performed at Diddy-hosted events. Photos from the early 2000s show all three of them smiling at awards shows, champagne in hand.

That proximity is why some fans have been watching closely to see if the Carters would say anything. So far, they haven’t. Maybe all those “thanking Beyonce” memes have some subliminal hints all along.

The music industry has long struggled with how to deal with “open secrets.” Much like the Weinstein scandal in Hollywood, Diddy’s trial has exposed how fame, power, and money can insulate even the most horrific behaviour.

Publications like The Atlantic and The New Yorker have framed this trial as a tragedy, not just because of what was done, but because of what wasn’t. Who knew and looked away? Did someone still stay close, even after all that?

Jay Z has worked to distance himself quietly. Beyoncé, whose work increasingly highlights Black female empowerment, has never publicly endorsed Diddy’s behaviour. But she also hasn’t publicly condemned it. And maybe that silence is strategic. Maybe it’s self-protection.

What Sentence Could Combs have faced?

The US attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York announced details of potential sentences when Combs was charged, but said the decision would ultimately be determined by the judge.

Racketeering conspiracy carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, the attorney’s office said, as does sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, which also carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.

Combs faces a maximum 10-year prison sentence on each of the two prostitution counts. Prosecutor Maurene Comey said the government would seek the maximum of 20 years.

Meri Zindagi Hai Tu reunites two of Pakistan’s most beautiful stars under a supergroup cast. The stakes are high, but so is the hype. If this tale delivers chemistry, feeling, and substance, it’ll be one of the standout dramas of 2025. For Hania and Bilal fans, the wait might be worth more than waiting.

“He Deserves It”: Virat Kohli Backs Novak Djokovic for Wimbledon Glory

virat-kohli-backs-novak-djokovic-for-wimbledon-glory

India’s batting maestro Virat Kohli has thrown his full support behind Novak Djokovic to lift the Wimbledon 2025 title, calling the Serbian legend a “deserving” champion.

Kohli, attending Djokovic’s Round of 16 clash against Australia’s Alex de Minaur at Centre Court, was spotted alongside wife Anushka Sharma, soaking in the tennis atmosphere.

Kohli and Djokovic: A Sporting Brotherhood

While fans often wonder if top athletes from different sports connect behind the scenes, Virat Kohli confirmed that he and Novak Djokovic have been in touch for some time.

“I’ve been in touch with Novak Djokovic for a while now. We’ve exchanged messages, and he’s been very gracious and kind,” Kohli shared.

The former Indian captain then made no attempt to hide who he was rooting for in the days ahead at SW19.

“I’d love to see Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz in the final, and I hope Novak wins this one.”

Kohli wasn’t just playing fanboy, though. He tied his support to Djokovic’s staggering work ethic and legacy.

“That would be a tremendous achievement at this stage of his career. He’s definitely in the conversation as one of the greatest of all time, if not the greatest, with the highest number of Grand Slam titles.”

“He truly deserves it for all the hard work he’s put in.”

Cricket vs Tennis: Kohli Weighs the Pressure

In an interesting turn of the conversation, Kohli reflected on the mental intensity of top-level sport, comparing the pressures of playing in front of packed cricket stadiums to the lone warrior’s grind in tennis.

“It’s a lot of pressure because there are so many people in the stadium. But I’d say it’s not as intimidating as Centre Court because of how far the fans are from you,” he said.

He explained how, as a batter, it’s easier to zone out, unlike in tennis where the spotlight is constantly on the individual.

“When we’re batting, you can zone out, you don’t hear the cheers, boos, or comments directly. That only happens when you’re fielding near the boundary,” he further stated.

“But even then, the pressure isn’t solely on your individual skill at every moment.”

For Virat Kohli, tennis, especially from the quarter-finals onwards, carries an entirely different kind of psychological weight.

“It can only be replicated in high-stakes matches like an India-Pakistan World Cup game or a semifinal or final, where your legs are literally shaking from pressure.”

“These tennis players probably feel that pressure from the quarterfinal stage onward.”

Spanish Police Reveal New Details in Diogo Jota’s Car Crash

spanish-police-reveal-new-details-in-diogo-jota-car-crash

The football world is still reeling from the heartbreaking loss of Diogo Jota, and now, Spanish authorities have shed new light on the tragic car crash that claimed his life along with his younger brother, Andre Silva, last week near Zamora, in northwestern Spain.

While tributes continue to pour in from across the globe, a police investigation is quietly working in the background, and its early findings point toward excessive speed as a potential factor.

What Police Are Saying

According to international media reports on Tuesday, Spain’s Guardia Civil is focusing on the possibility that Jota was driving well above the 120 km/h (75 mph) speed limit at the time of the crash.

The suspected trigger? A tyre blowout, which may have caused the vehicle to lose control and catch fire.

“The expert report is being carried out and finished, where among other things they are studying the marks left by one of the wheels of the vehicle,” a spokesperson for the Civil Guard said.

Investigators also confirmed that Diogo Jota was likely behind the wheel when the accident occurred. The analysis is currently centred on tyre marks and other physical evidence left at the crash site.

A Footballer Remembered Far Beyond the Pitch

The loss of Diogo Jota has left a hole not just in the hearts of Liverpool FC fans but in the global football community.

Since joining the Reds from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020, Jota quickly became a fan favourite, known for his intelligent runs, sharp finishing and relentless work ethic.

He made 182 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 65 goals across all competitions, no small feat at one of the world’s biggest clubs.

On the international stage, he earned 49 caps for Portugal, often featuring in high-pressure matches and becoming a key member of a side filled with star power.

Former Batter Questions Shaheen’s Exclusion from Bangladesh T20I Series

Sohail Tanvir Criticises, Shaheen Afridi Responds with a Statement Spell-former-batter-questions-shaheen-afridi-exclusion
Sohail Tanvir Criticises, Shaheen Afridi Responds with a Statement Spell

The Pakistan squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh is out, and it’s already sparking debate. While the focus should have been on the fresh names, it’s the notable absentees making headlines. Most prominent among them is Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Basit Ali Speaks Up

Former cricketer Basit Ali didn’t hold back his surprise and frustration over Shaheen’s omission. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Basit posted a picture of the left-arm pacer with a blunt but powerful caption:

“Why is he not in the team?”

And honestly, he’s not the only one asking.

Shaheen’s Recent Form Says It All

Shaheen’s last T20I appearance came earlier this year during Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand. Since then, he’s been in red-hot form. In the recently concluded PSL 10, he was not just good, he was outstanding.

Leading Lahore Qalandars to their third title, Shaheen Shah Afridi bagged 19 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 16.42, finishing as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker. If there were ever a time he looked ready to lead Pakistan’s bowling attack again, it’s now.

A Glimpse at the New-Look Squad

Pakistan have announced a 15-member squad for the three-match series, set to be played in Dhaka on 20, 22 and 24 July.

The squad sees a number of fresh or returning faces, including Hassan Nawaz, Ahmed Daniyal and Salman Mirza, while more experienced campaigners like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen himself have not been picked.

That said, it’s not a complete exclusion. Shaheen, along with Babar, Rizwan, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr., has been called up to attend a white-ball and pre-series camp at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from 9 to 15 July.

Whether that’s an indication of rotation, rest or a more permanent change in plans, that remains to be seen.

Sohail Javed Sues Director Jami Mahmood for Rs1 Billion in Defamation Dispute

sohail-javed-sues-director-jami-mahmood-for-rs1-billion-in-defamation-dispute

The entertainment industry in Pakistan is no stranger to controversy, but this one cuts deeper. It isn’t just about two filmmakers. It’s about truth, perception, and how a single letter; read out loud at a festival, has pulled the industry into a courtroom.

Sohail Javed, a director known for his work with music legends like Junoon and Hadiqa Kiani, is suing fellow director Jami Mahmood for Rs1 billion. The reason is a defamation claim rooted in a Facebook post.

How It All Began

Earlier this year, at Lahooti Melo, a festival in Jamshoro that took on the #MeToo movement as its theme. Jami read a letter from an anonymous sexual assault survivor. The letter didn’t name the alleged attacker. Jami didn’t name anyone either. But the description painted a haunting picture of manipulation, assault, and betrayal at the hands of a powerful figure in the industry.

Later, on February 14, Jami posted the full text of the letter on his Facebook page. In the caption, he referred to the abuser as “a music video and TVC director.” He said it was the letter he’d read at the festival. That was enough to set social media buzzing. People began speculating. Fingers were pointed. And somewhere in that noise, Sohail Javed’s name started coming up.

The Legal Notice

Just four days after Jami’s post, Sohail hit back. Through his lawyers, he sent a legal notice demanding a public apology and a halt to any further posts. The notice didn’t deny that Jami had named him, but it pointed out that the way the letter was shared strongly implied who the subject might be, especially within the industry circle.

Sohail’s position is simple: he believes the lack of clarification allowed people to draw conclusions, and that those conclusions have caused serious harm to his reputation.

Speaking about it, he said: “If people are taking my name and the person who posted this isn’t stepping up to correct that, then I have every right to go to court.”

Jami Mahmood’s Response

Jami, however, isn’t backing down. His legal team responded by denying that he knew who the alleged abuser was at the time of posting. And in an interview, Jami seemed genuinely puzzled: “The letter never mentioned any names. It’s strange that someone would come forward because of it.”

He has remained firm in his stance of standing with survivors and using his platform to speak out against abuse.

Bigger Than Just Two Names

While the legal case is between two men, the heart of this story is something larger. It’s about the weight of words in the age of social media. It’s about the space survivors have, or don’t have, to share their stories. And it’s about how quickly a conversation about justice can turn into a courtroom battle over reputation.

Sana Khawja, who co-founded Lahooti Melo, put it clearly: “This wasn’t about any one person. It was about opening up space to talk about patriarchy and power.”

Still, the fallout is real. The Rs1 billion lawsuit includes Rs500 million in damages and another Rs500 million for mental distress. Javed wants the Facebook post taken down. Both parties are expected in court for a hearing.

Where Does This Leave Us?

No one knows how this will end. The legal process will play out. But the questions it raises won’t go away so easily.
Can you share an anonymous story without indirectly accusing someone? Where does responsibility lie when social media runs ahead of facts? And when a woman’s trauma becomes the centrepiece of public debate, who really gets heard?

This isn’t a neat story. It doesn’t have clear heroes or villains. But it matters because how we handle this moment could shape how future survivors choose to speak. Or stay silent.

Lee Jung-jae Ends Squid Game With Heavy Words

lee-jung-jae-ends-squid-game-with-powerful-words

Lee Jung-jae, the actor behind Seong Gi-hun: Player 456, has finally spoken about the ending of Squid Game Season 3. The season dropped on June 27, 2025, and in its final moments, fans heard an unfinished line: “Humans are…” It wasn’t just silence. It was a message. One thing we only understand it now.

Gi-hun had already lost so much, but he kept trying to find some kind of hope, to live a meaningful life despite all the pain.

Sharing what he wants fans to take away, Lee said, “We all get hurt and betrayed by others, which can lead to hatred, but we still have to carry on and live together in society.” It’s a bitter truth, and viewers can relate to deeply.

He went on to say, “We have to try to understand each other, to keep our dignity and work towards harmony. If we can do that — work together with others, no matter what we’ve been through — we may see a future with less division and conflict. That’s where hope lies.”

In the final episode, Gi-hun gives up his life to protect the baby daughter of Jun-hee: Player 222. It was a gut-wrenching moment. Lee said, “His character’s heart was truly genuine in only wanting to protect and save that baby.” The scene broke hearts, but it showed the true soul of 456.

Before ending the interview, Lee completed the final line his character left behind. He said softly, “Humans are worthy of respect.” And just like that, the story of Seong Gi-hun came to a close, not with violence, but with grace.
