Oscar 2017 Winners List is now out and everybody’s favorite “La La Land” won 7 awards out of its 14 total nominations. The grandiose event kick started with a gorgeous beginning with the right razzmatazz, bold dresses, controversial statements and of course, big boo-boos.

Last Minute Drama on the Best Picture Award!

Seems like there was an envelope flub and La La Land was wrongly announced as the winner of the best picture award.  But in reality, it was Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight that won the accolade.

1st Muslim Actor to Win an Oscar

Bagging the award in the Best Supporting Actor for Moonlight, Mahershala proudly held the golden beauty in his hand and made history for becoming the 1st Muslim actor to ever win an Oscar.

Oscars 2017 Winners List Included Multiple Black Actors, Winning After a Decade!

Other than Mahershala Ali, it was Viola Davis, who unlocked a massive achievement by grabbing the award for the Best Supporting Actress for s August Wilson adaptation Fences.

Protest Against Trump’s Muslim Ban

For those who don’t know, Iranian filmmaker “Asghar Farhadi” boycotted the Academy Awards to protest against the ban of immigrants from Muslim nations. However,  he won the award for best foreign film, The Salesman.

What is more, he sent a representative, Anousheh Ansari, to accept the award and give an applaud-worthy statement on his behalf, which said:

“It is out of respect for the people of my country and the other six disrespected by the inhuman law that bans entry of immigrants to the United States”

Priyanka Chopra is All That Twitter is talking about!

Yep, PeeCee conquered the red carpet with her bold white gown. Sleek hair and the gown hugging her body, Chopra dazzled in her Ralph and Russo silvery panel dress.
