Protest Against Trump’s Muslim Ban
For those who don’t know, Iranian filmmaker “Asghar Farhadi” boycotted the Academy Awards to protest against the ban of immigrants from Muslim nations. However, Ā he won the award for best foreign film, The Salesman.
What is more, he sentĀ a representative, AnoushehĀ Ansari,Ā to accept the award and give an applaud-worthy statement on his behalf, which said:
“It is out of respect for the people of my country and the other six disrespected by the inhuman law that bans entry of immigrants to the United States”
