Protest Against Trump’s Muslim Ban

For those who don’t know, Iranian filmmaker “Asghar Farhadi” boycotted the Academy Awards to protest against the ban of immigrants from Muslim nations. However,  he won the award for best foreign film, The Salesman.

What is more, he sent a representative, Anousheh Ansari, to accept the award and give an applaud-worthy statement on his behalf, which said:

“It is out of respect for the people of my country and the other six disrespected by the inhuman law that bans entry of immigrants to the United States”
