Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has released the latest reports for March 2020. The report shares the number of vehicles sold in the month.
It is important to mention here that March 2020 has been the slowest month for the automotive sector in Pakistan since December 2008 when the government had imposed a lockdown.
Moreover, car sales fell by 43% month-to-month basis, while they witnessed a terrible 70% decline on a year-on-year basis.
The company with the most sold units was none other than Isuzu with their D-Max on top.
There were just 47 units of the Isuzu D-Max sold in February whereas it sold 84 units in March recording a 78.7% difference.
Here’s how the others performed:
|Models||February 2020||March 2020||Difference|
|Honda Civic & City||1,868||1,327||-28.9%|
With the novel coronavirus pandemic making things even worse for the automotive sector, we expect to see these numbers decline further in the upcoming months.
