Seems like the New Year is bringing a spree of price hikes in Pakistan. Earlier, there were announcements of a rise in petrol prices possibly. Recent reports reveal that there will be an increase in the wholesale price of milk starting next week in Karachi which is set to be of Rs. 9.00.

According to reports by ARY News, the retail price of milk will go up to Rs. 95.00 per liter whereas the wholesale rates of milk will reach Rs. 80.00 per liter following the increase in rates.

News reveal that the increased prices will be applicable from next week.

The dairy farmers have attributed the sudden increase in the price of milk due to production costs.

However, notice has been taken and Commission Karachi has warned that strict action will be taken against the milk sellers who will increase the prices.
