The pandemic delayed Met Gala championed the theme of ‘American Independence’ this year, and stars paid homage to the theme in their own unique ways. The purpose is to follow the theme as innovatively as possible and of course, the crazier the outfit, the more the publicity. This year’s theme compelled the stars to look back at American history and portray the country’s independence in a variety of ways. Female stars were also seen referencing Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly while others adorned vibrant gold, red and blue outfits.
