Recently, with street crime at its peak, no one is safe from robbers and violent mobs. Quite literally. It has been a misconception amongst the public that only the lower class or the middle class is the target of such robbers and theft gangs. However, the incident that took place yesterday with a group of Pakistani celebrities is clearing the misconception. A mob assaulted Nabeel Qureshi, Hira Mani, Gul-e-Rana, and others on Monday while they were in Karachi filming for a new movie. Below is the whole story.

On his social media accounts, Qureshi detailed the terrible incident and claimed that the mob had harassed the cast and crew, stolen mobile phones, and taken other items of equipment. The director of “The Load Wedding” stated in a series of tweets that the attackers were “armed with weapons.” The event happened in the port city’s PIB Colony neighborhood.

Nabeel urged officials to take harsh measures against the offenders in order to set an example of the occurrence and guarantee the future safety of the Pakistani artistic community. Mahira Khan, a beloved actress in Pakistan, responded by saying: “This is beyond belief! Who is accountable? Who will be held responsible?”

Many celebrities and the general public, of course, have shown solidarity for the celebrities and especially the crew members who try to save the actors while putting their own lives at stake. Hira Mani also thanked them and wished them well on her Instagram story.

Is this lack of security and safety a national-level problem now? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
