Over the past few days, heavy rain in Punjab had wrecked havoc in the province.

As many as 15 people have lost their lives in various incidents due to the deadly downpour. And now, reports reveal that a heavy rainfall system is all set to Karachi as well.

According to ARY News, rainfall system that has been creating mayhem in India is all set to enter Karachi in the next few days.

The news bulletin revealed that Pakistan Metrological Department has forecasted that strong monsoon currents will penetrate Pakistan, entering South Sindh by next week.

The rainfall system will travel from Thar, Mithi, Umerkot, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Badin, Thatta, Coastal Areas to Karachi on 10th July.

Consequently, thunderstorm associated with gusty winds with very heavy rainfall can strike the metropolis.

Rain Emergency Declared in Karachi!

 

Last week, a rain emergency has been declared by Pakistan’s Meteorological Department (PMD) following the forecast of heavy rain showers.

However, widespread rain is yet to begin and citizens are eagerly waiting for a break from the hot and humid weather.
