Rockstar is one of the most famous companies of all time. Ever since they first came out with Grand Theft Auto, or GTA, they have placed themselves on the map. Every gamer, be it avid or occasional, knows about the company and the game itself. The open-world experience that Rockstar offers cannot be compared with any other game in the league. The sandbox world they create lets the user spend hundreds of hours just immersed in it.
When GTA 5 came out back in 2013, it was considered a game changer for the industry. People had never seen anything like it before and it continued to have releases throughout the years, for multiple platforms. Even now, the community of GTA 5 is quite vibrant and active, including the multiplayer servers. So, with GTA 6 announced for release in 2025, will it really be released then or will Rockstar delay it?
Rockstar and GTA Marketing
Rockstar is quite clever when it comes to marketing. They know that their game is not going to be released anytime soon, but they have started the marketing. One trailer has been dropped and it has gathered more than 40 million views is less than 24 hours. The hype that surrounds the company is too high. Red Dead Redemption is yet another Rockstar franchise which has captivated audiences all over the world.
So, when Rockstar delivered the first trailer for GTA 6, they also gave it a release date. However, we know that the game is not finished yet, and it is still under development. Knowing how much Rockstar loves to drag out its marketing campaigns for months and months, we believe the game release will go further than 2025. We believe that the game can go as far as 2026 or even 2027.
Gamers Ready Everywhere
Knowing how many delays always enter production, there is a chance that GTA 6 will also be delayed beyond 2025. Red Dead Redemption 2 took time to release because a lot of effort went into making a game as beautiful as that. Similarly, Rockstar is not going to wing anything when it comes to their biggest franchise. They are going to make sure the public receives a polished version of the game.
GTA 5 is one of the most optimized games of the last decade, and we expect its successor to be no less either. The trailer is quite impressive and we hope that the company is able to deliver as much as it always does, even more. While we think the release can get delayed, we do hope that they stick to 2025 as the official release year.
