The second episode of Coke Studio 9 is out! And it is wonderfully nostalgic since it’s Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s legendary qawwali Afreen Afreen covered by none other than Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and new comer Momina Mustehsen.

Faakhir Mehmood is behind the musical arrangement. It is quite refreshing to listen to since this version is a mellowed and toned down cover of an otherwise originally a qawwali. It simply speaks to your heart with Momina’s talented and sweet vocals. The song lets the artists showcase their raw vocal talent rather than the music leading the way.
