Pakistan’s journey in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 ended at the Super Eight stage. While the result was disappointing for fans hoping to see the Men in Green reach the semi-finals, the team will still return home with a respectable share of the tournament’s prize pool.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has now confirmed the final prize money distribution, giving a clearer picture of how much each team earned during the 20-team tournament.

So, where does Pakistan stand in the financial standings?

Pakistan’s Share of the Prize Money

Pakistan finished their campaign in the Super Eight stage, which placed them among the top teams of the competition but just short of the final four.

As a result, the 2009 champions will receive $522,692 in prize money. This amount makes Pakistan the sixth-highest earning team from the tournament.

While it may not match the rewards earned by the finalists or semi-finalists, it still represents a solid payout for reaching the latter stages of the competition.

India takes the Biggest Reward

At the top of the prize money chart are the champions. Co-hosts India secured the largest payout after defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final to win their third T20 World Cup title. Their victory earned them a prize of $2,639,423, the biggest share of the tournament’s prize pool.

Meanwhile, runners-up New Zealand received $1,422,692 for finishing second.

Both teams delivered consistent performances throughout the tournament, which was reflected in their final earnings.

Semi-Finalists Also Cross Major Milestones

The two semi-finalists who missed out on the final also walked away with significant rewards.

South Africa earned $1,005,577, becoming the only other team besides India and New Zealand to cross the million-dollar mark.

England, the other semi-finalist, received $974,423 for their campaign.

These figures highlight the financial incentive for teams to push deep into the knockout stages.

Super Eight Teams and Their Rewards

Teams that reached the Super Eight stage but failed to qualify for the semi-finals also secured notable prize money.

Two-time champions West Indies earned the highest amount among these teams, taking home $538,269 after their campaign ended with a defeat to India in a high-pressure clash at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Pakistan followed closely behind with $522,692, placing them sixth overall in the tournament’s earnings list.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe enjoyed a memorable run, including a famous victory over Australia. Their impressive campaign brought them $491,538. Co-hosts Sri Lanka collected $475,962 after their Super Eight exit.
