March 8th is International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to honoring the social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments of women. The day serves as a rallying point for advancing women’s equality. IWD has been observed for well over a century, with more than a million people attending the first meeting in 1911.
Women’s Day Celebration & Festival
The International Women’s Day celebration and a grand carnival are being organized by the @Karachi Women’s Club by Uffaira at the RLAK College of Home Economics. This would feature more than 100 food stalls and lifestyle exhibition booths run by renowned and hardworking entrepreneurs from Pakistan. Also, there will be a kids’ area where the whole family can enjoy themselves as well as a Super Women Award Presentation where Pakistan’s Super Women will be recognized.

2. CFA & ACCA’s “Innovation for Equality”
On March 9, 2023, in Karachi, CFA Society Pakistan will hold the Women’s Day highlighted event “Innovation for Equality: Fintech & Women Empowerment”. Breakfast is available beginning at 8 am, and the program starts at 9 am. Here have a look.

3. Sky & Bahria University’s March
Society for Karachi Youth is a youth-led platform that works to improve and build society through intellectual and empowerment-based activities and campaigns and Bahria is a comprehensive university having multidisciplinary programs for the student of Karachi. Together they have organized a march in significance to International Women’s Day.

The Women Awards will be held on March 7, 2023, at Governor House Sindh in honor of International Women’s Day. Soch Aurat is offering awards at this event to meritorious Pakistani women who work in a variety of disciplines for the well and prosperity of the nation or who otherwise contribute positively to society.
