Who is Zain Ahmed? The Founder of Rastah
Zain Ahmed is the founder of the biggest Pakistani brand currently, which is Rastah. It is a Lahore-based Pakistani streetwear brand founded in 2018. Zain was born into an influential family, as he’s the great-grandson of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the founding figure of the Ahmadiyya movement.
It is even said that Zain made his brand from the support and financial stability due to his Ahmedi roots.
Raised between London, Toronto, Vancouver, and Lahore, Zain has very intelligently infused his diverse upbringing into his brand, ‘Rastah.’
The label champions sustainable and artisanal designs, with items being designed, sourced and produced by local artisans in limited quantities in Pakistan. Rastah has been consistently praised for challenging stereotypes and redefining what it means to be “Made in Pakistan.”
