Suppose you have had a long day at work. You come home and immediately go to bed. After a nice nap of 2 hours, you grab your phone and open WhatsApp.
“The OG Besties” Group is flooded with 2000+ messages. A friend got married? Someone has riveting gossip? You could take a wild guess, but opening the chat and reading through is a Herculean task.
Nonetheless, it is the only way to piece together a story from the countless messages, but it appears as if WhatsApp has found a remedy.
In a recent development, WhatsApp has rolled out threaded replies, which will remove unnecessary clutter from conversations and allow focused discussion.
WhatsApp’s Latest iOS Beta Version Features Dedicated Threads and Message Counters
WhatsApp’s latest iOS beta v25.19.10.80 features new threaded replies, permitting users to reply to individual messages within a group chat in a specific thread.
This threaded feature streamlines cluttered conversations by grouping scattered messages with a pattern largely similar to that of Discord and Slack.
There will also be a small counter on each message bubble that will show the number of replies, highlighting the level of engagement a particular message has received.
Tapping on the message will open the dedicated thread where users can follow and add more to the text, allowing users to track specific lines of conversation.
Such features are especially useful in busy chats. Active family and friendship groups, professional chat environments, and large community clubs are likely to be major beneficiaries.
The feature is still under development, but recent sightings on iOS and Android suggest a full-scale rollout in the foreseeable future.

Meta is Modernising WhatsApp’s User Experience
The introduction of threaded replies is part of Meta’s strategy to make WhatsApp more user-friendly and up-to-date with modern messaging standards.
The Meta-owned messaging platform has made significant advancements in recent years. From being able to edit messages to using AI tools to construct elaborate responses, WhatsApp has become more user-friendly.
Dedicated threads may seem like a minor improvement, but such measures will transform group conversations by bringing structure, clarity, and balance to chaotic chats.
The recent update also shows Meta’s adaptability. WhatsApp is listening to its users and evolving to meet their needs, ensuring high satisfaction.
