what-did-sheikh-saleh-say-about-palestine-in-the-hajj-2025-sermon

Member of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars and Imam of Masjid al-Haram, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, gave the Hajj 2025 address at Masjid al-Namirah on Thursday.

In the sermon, he prayed, “O Allah, help the people of Palestine and destroy its enemies.” He then begged, “O Allah, pardon the martyred of Palestine and fully heal the wounded.”

These remarks looked for heavenly help and highlighted Palestinian pain.

Sheikh Saleh urged Muslims to continue praying and paying zakat to assist the less fortunate. As Allah commands, he reminded the faithful to seek goodness, take care of their neighbours, and show devotion. He also emphasised openness, compassion, and kindness.

He asked Muslims to honour and treat their parents with love. The sermon urged honesty and caution against arrogance and pride. The Imam instructed followers to stay true to pledges and refrain from violating responsibilities.

โ€œThe devil is out to divide them,โ€ he warned.

He also urged, “Iblees is your adversary, avoid following him and keep praying to Allah.” The lecture emphasised compassion for orphans, widows, and the less fortunate. It centred on avoiding evil and working together on good deeds.

Millions of Hajj worshippers were at Mount Arafat to hear the sermon. One of the five pillars of Islam, the hajj is a spiritual trip Muslims are meant to undertake once in their lifetime if they are able to do so. Delivered on the Day of Arafah, the Arafat sermon is also known as the Hajj Khutba. Muslims worldwide watch it as a crucial event in Islam.

Muslims from several countries gathered under this sermon, which reminded them of unity, love, and steadfast faith. It also underlined spiritual development and social responsibilities.
