Eid Al-Adha has brought warm wishes from President Asif Ali Zardari to the people of Pakistan and Muslims worldwide. He stressed the need to live by values like sacrifice, love, brotherhood, and unity in daily life.

“This day revives in us the spirit of faith, sacrifice, selflessness, and brotherhood,” he said. I hope Allah Almighty makes this day a source of riches, harmony, and blessings for both our nation and the whole Muslim Ummah. Ameen.”

President Zardari said Eid Al-Adha honours the obedience and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS). He called their loyalty and selflessness a guiding example for all of us.

“These great personalities provide a shining example of dedication, loyalty, selflessness, and sacrifice by entirely submitting to the will of Allah Almighty,” he said. “This day reminds us that no sacrifice is too much when seeking Allah’s pleasure. Our success, both personal and collective, lies in obeying His will.”

He urged everyone to live by the same spirit of sacrifice shown by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). Helping others and bringing ease to their lives, he said, is key.

President Zardari emphasised the need to support the underprivileged and struggling members of society. He reminded everyone that Eid al-Adha is not only about animal sacrifice. It also calls us to make a strong promise to care for the poor, sick, and needy.

“As a country, we have to stand by one another,” he said. “We should grieve together and work side by side to build a rich and wonderful Pakistan.”

He also called on Pakistanis to pledge to remove hatred and bias from their hearts. Everyone, he said, must work with honesty and unity for national progress and the betterment of the Muslim world.

May Allah accept our sacrifices, provide Pakistan peace, growth, and prosperity, and bless us with the power to become a cohesive and strong country. Ameen,” he concluded.
