Western Wind System Brings Rain to Karachi

On Monday evening, various parts of Karachi experienced light rain showers and drizzle as a result of the western wind system entering the country from Balochistan. However, there is no forecast of heavy rainfall in the city.

The maximum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 33.5°C, which was one degree higher than the previous day. Due to the influence of the western wind system, high-level clouds covered the city, resulting in intermittent cloud cover throughout the day.

In the evening, light rain showers and drizzle were reported in the old city, while areas including Surjani Town, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, Quaidabad, Bin Qasim, Landhi and Malir saw scattered rain showers. Earlier in the day, the minimum temperature was recorded at 19°C.

According to the Meteorological Department, the western wind system will continue to affect Karachi, bringing cloudy skies and scattered rain showers, especially on the outskirts of the city. However, the forecast does not predict any heavy rainfall.
