Nothing beats discarding the winter coat and slipping into a cropped top or your favorite trunks during the coldest months of the year. There are so many beautiful places to explore, from the white-sand beaches of the South Pacific to the stunning coasts of the Indian Ocean! Why stay at home and wait for spring when you might be out in the sun? Here are some cozy places that you can visit during the winter season.

  1. Bali

In Bali, January is the monsoon season, and it is the wettest month of the year. Excluding holidays and New Year’s, it’s also a period when visitors leave, and surfing on the west coast is at its best. While there may be some showers, they will pass swiftly and will not disrupt your activities. Surfing, yoga, meditation, hiking, wonderful food, and spectacular nightlife are all available. Tourism has affected certain regions of Bali, with centers of Instagram-worthy cafés, fashionable bars, and vegan eateries.

  1. Australia

It’s summer in Australia! Australia, one of the world’s most popular destinations and the origin of The Blonde Abroad, is the ideal winter getaway. Australia has so much to offer, from the Great Barrier Reef to the diverse culture of Melbourne to the renowned vistas of Sydney.

  1. Thailand

Winter is an excellent season to visit Thailand. Bangkok may get quite hot in the summer, but daily highs in December often reach eighty degrees. The coastline has fantastic weather all year, so it’s still a great time to visit beaches like Koh Lanta and Koh Chang.

  1. South Africa

The temperatures along Africa’s southern coast are mild. Winter may be wet, and because South Africa is in the Southern Hemisphere, winter lasts from June to September. The best time to visit locations like Cape Town and Johannesburg is during the summer.

  1. Morocco

There are so many beautiful places to see in this northern African country. During the summer, many of them, such as the Sahara Desert, become extremely hot. I’m talking way above 100 degrees. Winter brings beautiful seventy-degree days in Marrakech and across the desert, allowing you to explore without being overheated.

  1. The French Polynesia

Between California and Australia, you’ll discover heaven. French Polynesia, with one hundred islands spread out across twelve thousand kilometers in the center of the South Pacific, is just breathtaking. In the winter, the crystal blue lagoons retain an average temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit and are flanked by some of the world’s best beaches.

  1. Mexico

Temperatures vary around Mexico, although the tourist regions typically have two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season lasts from May to October in much of the nation. Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula and the Pacific coast region known as the Mexican Riviera are your best bets for decent winter weather. In some places, temperatures will reach the mid-eighties throughout the day before falling to the sixties at night.
