Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza are one of the most talked about couples in both the Pakistani celebrity industry and the Indian Pakistani industry because of their ethnicities. The two superstars got married on the 10th of April in 2010. It was a love marriage that made headlines globally.
They then had a son in 2018 and named him Izhaan. Ever since fans on both sides of the border have always been excited to see the couple together at different events that followed. Despite the infamous rivalry between India and Pakistan, both have been seen in each other’s countries on different occasions.
However, recently fans have been speculating that the two may have parted ways since they’re not seen much with each other anymore. Neither at events nor on each other’s social media platforms. While many fans were being intrusive, many just simply showed encouragement for Shoaib Malik and his efforts of being a good father. One user commentated, “Often a rare sight seeing Pakistani fathers doing things like these with their children. Shoaib Bhai you are setting an example.”
But the question of the couple’s separation is still left unattended. Or maybe it does not need to be attended at all. It has now become the habit of the Pakistani audience to nitpick on every single thing. There have been times when fans have overstepped boundaries. Similarly not many but few celebrities have also stated to speak up about how grateful they are for their fans but sometimes they find this behavior very rude and offensive.
Something similar has happened previously as well. In the mid of February this year, Sania Mirza announced her retirement from tennis. In honor of that, she held a retirement bash but surprisingly, Shoaib Malik was nowhere to be seen. Fans once again lost their cool and started to claim that the couple might have broken up. So this sort of backlash isn’t new at this point but does that make it right?
