Pakistani drama industry is the best form of local entertainment even now when the film industry is once again starting to flourish. We do continue to debate those old Pakistani dramas used to be way better compared to the current ones. Still, the drama makers argue that the audience wants to watch the cliched saas-bahu storyline. And so in every drama, you have more or less the same rivalry’s the love life struggle and the evil in-laws. Top trending dramas, too, have similar plots. 1. Mere Paas Tum Ho
Starring Ayeza Khan as the antagonist, and Humayun Saeed as the naive romantic protagonist, Mere Paas Tum Ho broke the heights of popularity. The drama started at the end of 2019 and continued till 2020. The line that made it more popular was probably the ‘do takkey ki aurat’.
2. Muhabbat Tujhe Alvida
Zahid Ahmed, with Sonya Hussain and Mansha Pasha, played the lead in Muhabbat Tujhe Alvida. The story is about a woman trying to get rich but, in doing so, sells her husband off. The price is getting him married to another woman.
3. Sabaat
The lead role was of Mawra Hocane, but Pakistanis loved Sarah Khan playing Miral. They adored how the soft-spoken Sarah got into the evil bourgeois character and owned the stage.
4. Ishqiya
We might see something happening between Feroze Khan and Hania Amir because their chemistry in Ishqiya was off the charts. It was lovely how the drama shows that the girl does not have to forgive her husband at the end. When she finds out that her husband blackmailed her sister, no matter how angry she was with her sister, she supported her and let go of her husband even though she loved him.
5. Fitrat
Saboor Aly is getting quite some fame playing the lead in Fitrat. Let’s see how it will end, but for now, it is amongst the popular drama list.
6. Jalan
The girl in love with the sister’s husband. The one-liner tells you what you can expect in the dramas currently. But since it’s popular, you can also guess what people do want to watch.
7. Nand
Sometimes nands (husband’s sister) can also be innocent; maybe this way, the drama stands different from the others. But as you can see, even this storyline is plagued with in-law drama.
8. Thora Sa Haq
Ayeza Khan and Imran Abbas’s chemistry is always excellent. So even though I did not like the story, I still watched the whole drama.
9. Ehd-e-Wafa
Army dramas always get eyeballs. And when it is star-loaded, you will definitely get a drama that will get immensely popular.
10. Dilruba
A girl with many guys in her life, even though she did not intentionally get involved with them, is in the wrong. She has to apologize and ask for forgiveness if she wants to get away from bad karma. Yes, this too was a famous Pakistani drama.
