Three Members Of A Family Killed After Speeding Dumper Hits Car In Karachi

Three members of a family were killed when a speeding dumper rammed into their car in Karachi. The fatal road accident occurred on Monday.

The incident occurred at the Northern Bypass in Surjani Town, Karachi. A speeding dumper crashed into a car, killing three members of a family. A father and his son were among the deceased.

Rescue officials added that all the victims resided in Gul Muhammad Qalandrani Goth, which is within the Manghopir area.

Traffic accidents involving heavy vehicles in Karachi continue to trouble the city despite numerous efforts by the Sindh government to address them.

In yet another recent crash, a dumper crushed a mother and daughter to death in Chiniot.

Another road accident occurred close to Boulton Market in Karachi early Sunday. A trailer drove over two young men and killed them. The victims were residents of Usmanabad in the Lyari area, the police said. They were Noor Muhammad and Zahid.

The crowd at the scene was enraged and attempted to beat up the trailer driver, Abid Ali. The police intervened and arrested him, though.

The police lodged a case against the driver at Meethadar Police Station. The driver is charged with reckless driving in the road accident.

These accidents point to the continued threat posed by heavy vehicles on Karachi roads. Despite regulations and safety drives, such accidents are not declining.
