Star plus dramas have been the butt of many jokes and rightfully so. The classic head turns in black and white and comically horrified expression amuses everyone. However, the latest clip from a drama has everyone cringing and laughing. Keep reading to find out why!

Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Beats Coronavirus

Star Plus had to evolve according to the corona situations. The recent clip that’s been making rounds everywhere will puzzle you. It shows an older woman taking off her mask in the most dramatic of ways. But that’s not all. What she sees is the girl who’s wearing that plastic shield on her face. This is perhaps as cringe-worthy as it gets for star plus.

Why wear a shield like that when you’re not wearing a mask? Or better yet, why wear a mask if you’re going to take it off when surprised?

The Never-ending Show

Believe it or not, ‘Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has been going on since 2009. There’s something special about Star Plus dramas, which makes them never-ending. People die and then come back to life but then die again. The cycle of life is nothing but a prop. However, what you don’t know is the scene that precedes the mask one.

Before Naira (the shield wearing wife) leaves for work, her husband (Kartik) comes to bid goodbye. You’d guess that he’d say the regular goodbye, but as we said, this serial is beating coronavirus. Kartif lovingly takes her hands and sanitizes them and puts the shield on her.

The Chronicles of Gopi Bahu

If you’re even slightly up to date with meme pages, you’ll know about Gopi Bahu. Gopi bahu is a character in an Indian drama called “Saath Dena Saathiya.” Gopi bahu has fans everywhere because what she does has everyone howling on the floor.

This is the same character who thought of washing a laptop in the sink to clean it. She means to order roses but orders cactuses instead. Her mother-in-law Kokila is the ultimate stereotypical evil and strict character.

Some Star Plus Drama Features To Look Out For

Know that if you ever begin a star plus drama, these things are essential to know. Firstly, they never end. Be prepared to be annoyed by how they are dragged. Secondly, the plot twists are beyond the understanding of humans. You’ll have to take your special thinking skills on a ride-along.

If you’re also looking for something realistic, star plus dramas would not be a good option. Jokes asides, isn’t it time star plus also evolves? Pitting family members still against each other and normalizing evil mothers-in-law is problematic. Hopefully, there can be a shift in the themes of the new serials soon.
