Every year, the Vegas Tech Conference promises “the future.” This time, some of it was legit. Think AI with real-world payoffs, smarter everyday gadgets, and a few “wait… that exists?” moments that had people stopping mid-walk
This year, the CES 2026 kicked off with bold announcements, futuristic gadgets, and one clear message: artificial intelligence is the present. From next-generation AI chips to smart home appliances and humanoid robots, the world’s largest tech conference showcased innovations poised to shape global markets.
So, here’s a list of some of the coolest tech that we saw on day 1 of CES:
Cool Technology from CES Day 1
1. Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold
Using a pair of inward-folding hinges to convert from a small smartphone to a large tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold has the potential to become a laptop replacement. Essentially, it’s a laptop that fits in your pocket.
Currently, the TriFold is available only in Korea. Fortunately for US gadget lovers, the tablet is expected to land in markets in the first quarter of 2026, but it might prove expensive.

2. Smart 4-Door French-Door Refrigerator with Kitchen Assistant
To put it simply, the Smart 4-Door French-Door Refrigerator with Kitchen Assistant makes shopping a piece of cake by compiling a comprehensive shopping list. This makes this scanning fridge a priceless asset for forgetful customers.
The refrigerator carries a scanner that users can use to scan empty packages, and manually add items to the shopping list using the 8-inch tablet on the door.

3. Clicks Communicator
Clicks is widely recognised for its smartphone cases that bring back a compact, BlackBerry-style physical keyboard. However, this time, the company has taken things a step further.
The device pairs a tactile keyboard with a 4.03-inch OLED display, front and rear cameras, a headphone jack, and 5G connectivity. Dubbed the Clicks Communicator, the device is positioned as a secondary, distraction-free smartphone. Hence, users can stick to only essential apps.

4. LG Gallery TV
Like TCL and Hisense, LG is aiming to challenge Samsung’s The Frame in the art TV space. The new LG Gallery TV builds on the Gallery+ service, which was launched earlier this year.
The platform can display artwork, visuals, and even gaming scenes. Using a mini-LED technology, the TV is expected to feature a matte-style finish. LG says the TV has a specialised screen that reduces glare and limits reflections.

5. LG Cloid Home Robot
LG’s CLOiD is a home robot designed to do more than basic floor cleaning. It comes with two articulated arms, each offering seven degrees of motion, mounted on a mobile base. The robot also has a flexible torso that can tilt and bend.
According to LG, CLOiD can handle everyday household tasks. These include folding and stacking laundry, placing food in the oven, or retrieving items from the fridge. However, it remains to be seen if it can do these jobs better than humans.

6. Samsung Family Hub Fridges
Samsung’s Family Hub smart refrigerators are already familiar, but the company is adding a new convenience feature. Soon, users will be able to open and close the fridge door using voice commands.
When your hands are full or messy while cooking, you can simply ask Bixby to open or shut the door. The fridge will swing open more than 90 degrees, offering full access. If speaking isn’t possible, the door can be opened or closed with a tap of your palm or the back of your hand.

7. LG Wallpaper Wireless OLED TV
Six years after launching its first Wallpaper TV, LG has brought the lineup back with the new LG OLED evo W6. With a redesigned internal structure, the TV is only 9mm thick. A new mounting system allows it to sit completely flush against the wall.
Installation is made easier with LG’s Zero Connect Box, which wirelessly transmits the video signal from up to 33 feet away. This means the only cable required for the TV itself is power. The LG OLED evo W6 will be available in 77-inch and 83-inch sizes.

8. Intel’s Next Gen PC Chip
Intel launched its next-generation desktop chips, based on the Panther Lake architecture, on the first day of the CES conference in Las Vegas on Monday. The company aims to leverage the advanced architecture of these chips to reclaim market share from its competitors.
The new lineup, known as the Intel Core Ultra Series 3, is the first to utilise Intel’s latest manufacturing platform, called 18A. The new chips would power more than 200 PC designs, including laptops with improved compute and graphics performance as well as battery life.

In the end, CES proved once again why it remains the world’s most influential tech showcase. The event highlighted a future shaped by artificial intelligence, smarter devices, and deeply connected ecosystems rather than standalone gadgets.
