Dubai authorities detained Tajik singer and social media icon Abdu Rozik early Saturday morning, shortly after he landed at Dubai International Airport from Montenegro, according to his management.
Rozik arrived at the terminal around 5:00 a.m. Officials arrested him soon after, citing allegations of theft. Although no formal charges have been filed, his team confirmed the situation.
“We confirm that Abdu has been apprehended on suspicion of theft,” said a spokesperson from Rozik’s team.
“We’re cooperating fully with authorities and awaiting official updates.”
As of now, Dubai Police have not issued a public statement. The nature of the alleged theft remains unclear. Officials haven’t shared any details about upcoming hearings or a potential release.
Despite challenges from a rare growth hormone deficiency, Rozik rose to fame through sheer resilience. His small stature, just over three feet, never held him back. Instead, his powerful voice and personal story helped him build a global following.

That same year, India’s Enforcement Directorate questioned him during a money laundering probe involving a hospitality group. Authorities later clarified that Rozik was not under investigation and was not listed as a suspect.
