In a time and age where everything is just a click away, the Supreme Court (SC) has taken a major step acknowledging the significance of technology.

The SC has launched its app intending to increase and improve the public’s access to data regarding courts and lawyers.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa inaugurated the new services which include Mobile App, Call Center, complete video link in 5 courts, Judicial Esta Code, Research Center Progress and  Website Enhancements in a ceremony held in Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Speaking to the attendees at the ceremony of IT-driven facilities, he said that they have landed in the 21st century, the century of technology and advancement.

“The newly launched IT-based facilities would provide effective and efficient platform to discourage adjournments and to encourage legal fraternity to plead their cases without any delay. This would help improve disposal of cases and reduce the backlog and to get prompt justice from the courts by saving time and money,” he added.
