On 3rd March in Punjab, Pakistan, Shehroze Kashif, a 20-year-old mountaineer from Pakistan who established a record by being the youngest person to summit K2, the second-highest peak in the world, is on track to break yet another record after departing from Lahore for Nepal last night.

Shehroze was said farewell by his parents and other friends and family members, and he revealed his lofty ambition to become the world’s youngest climber to conquer every mountain above 8,000 meters. The youngest climber in the world, he has already ascended 10 summits that rise to an elevation of 8000 meters or more.

He left for Nepal in order to try Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Annapurna (809 m). With a successful summit, he will need to conquer just Shishipangma and Choyou to break the record for the youngest climber to conquer all 14 8000-meter peaks.

Shehroze’s father, Mr. Kashif Salman, who is a fervent supporter of his son, said “I always say Shehroze is a gifted human and Allah has blessed him with powers so he can do extraordinary things.”

Shehroze’s mother told him during his K2 Summit to come back and asked him if he didn’t miss home. When present at the airport to see him depart and obviously very upset, said that he used to show me the mountains and would tell me “this is my home mom”. She wished her son well and remarked that he would make Pakistan proud.

The Eight-thousanders, commonly referred to as the 14 peaks, are a group of mountains that rise above 8,000 meters (26,247 feet). Because so few climbers have been successful in reaching the top of every one of these mountains, they are recognized as the hardest and most dangerous mountains in the world.

Shehroze has inspired young mountaineers all across the world with his tenacity, enthusiasm, and talent. He has the view that everyone, no matter how great or small, can fulfill their dreams through perseverance and hard effort.

In his future endeavor, Shehroze stated, “I am determined to achieve this goal and bring honor to my country. I want to inspire young people to pursue their dreams and passions, no matter how difficult they may appear”.

In addition to drawing attention from throughout the world, Shehroze’s world-record ascent will promote Pakistan’s varied landscapes and natural beauties. A new generation of mountaineers and adventurers will be motivated by his success to scale the world’s highest peaks.

Shehroze is also doing a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe for his expedition. Here is the link. http://bit.ly/3lHoSAd
