On Eid al-Adha Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extend his best wishes to the people of Pakistan and Muslims worldwide. He also urged everyone to remember the oppressed people of Palestine and Kashmir.
In his message for Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri, the Prime Minister said, โI felicitate from the core of my heart the whole Pakistani nation and the Islamic world on the blessed occasion of Eid Al-Adha and the magnificent Islamic ritual of Hajj.โ
These holy days remind us of the strong faith, sacrifice, and selflessness of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). Allah Almighty valued their devotion so much that He made their actions part of religious worship.
The Prime Minister prayed, “May Allah Almighty accept the prayers and sacrifices of the whole Pakistani nation and the Muslim Ummah.” He added, “These blessed occasions should come in our lives again and again. Amen.”
He explained that Eid Al-Adha is more than animal sacrifice. It also means giving up personal desires and interests for higher goals. This spirit teaches patience, bravery, sacrifice, and kindnessโtraits essential for national growth.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is progressing. He stressed that now is the time to adopt unity and the spirit of sacrifice. “The road of sacrifice leads to success,” he stated.
He mentioned the recent Indian attack and how the nation stood together. “The entire country stood united and solidly against the enemy sending a clear message that the Pakistani people will not hesitate to offer any sacrifice for its defence and dignity,” he said.
He added that the same unity is needed to overcome internal challenges. “We must recognize our economic and social responsibilities. We need to combine our resources to make Pakistan strong, flourishing, and self-sufficient,” he said.
Eid Al-Adha reminds us that real progress comes when we work for collective good, not just personal gain. He urged people to remember Palestinians suffering from violence and starvation.
He also reaffirmed strong support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. โWe will always be their voice and will support their great movement,โ he said.
He encouraged the nation to build a future based on love, unity, and brotherhood. โWe have to move forward with the will to make Pakistan appear at the world level as a strong and prosperous nation,โ he said.
He added that the dream of Pakistanโs success will come true when national interest comes before personal interest.
โThe message of Eid ul Azha urges us to rise above our own desires and interests and focus only on the welfare and well being of our nation, therefore acting to reach the noble aims,โ he said. He added, โUndoubtedly, this unity and attitude will alter Pakistan’s fate.โ
He ended his message with a prayer: “I ask Allah Almighty to grant us the actual joy of EidulAzha and arm us to behave in accordance with the true spirit of sacrifice and compassion.”
