Sanam Jung Shares the Real Reason Behind Leaving the Drama Industry

Published on

In a recent chat on Nida Yasir’s morning show, actress and host Sanam Jung opened up about her choice to step back from the Pakistani drama scene. She shared that her husband’s work schedule is a big factor in her decision.

He’s home for 15 days and then off for another 15, which means Sanam is often juggling everything at home, especially taking care of their little girl, Alaya. She talked about how tough it can be to travel long distances or commit to lengthy shoots. Even a simple car ride can turn into a challenge, as her little one tends to get restless and cry quite a bit.

Sanam Explains Why Long Drama Hours Don’t Suit Her Life

The actress shared that she’s been steering clear of job opportunities overseas because of her family responsibilities. The long hours that come with working in the drama industry made it tough for her to find a good balance. So, she made the difficult decision to step back from acting for a while.

But don’t worry, Sanam isn’t completely out of the spotlight. She’s still taking on some manageable gigs, like brand shoutouts and social media endorsements. These more flexible roles let her stay in touch with her fans while still prioritising her family commitments.
