Officials reported that Russian troops attacked Kyiv and other locations early on Sunday, wounding at least 11 people in the capital, killing three people in nearby towns, and damaging homes and other infrastructure.

Attacks spread to a series of regional hubs including Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, Mykolaiv in the south, and Ternopil in the west.
Timur Tkachenko, head of the military administration of Kyiv, reported that 11 people were hurt from drone attacks.
In the Holosiivskyi area just beyond the city centre, a five-storey apartment building was struck, causing a fire to harm the external of the building.
Strikes affecting other districts damaged a private residence and a business centre.
It was the second night running when a large assault occurred.
Friday evening saw Russia launch hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles towards Kyiv—one of the largest combined aerial assaults on the Ukrainian capital in the three-year conflict. Fifteen people were hurt; several apartment buildings suffered damage.
According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov in northeastern Ukraine, drones struck three city areas and wounded three persons. Explosions damage windows in tall residential buildings.
Regional authorities reported that drone strikes wounded two people in a residential neighborhood of the southern city Mykolaiv. Missile strikes on Ternopil in western Ukraine damaged windows and started a tiny fire.
In north of Kyiv, local authorities said a mass drone assault occurred in Konotop.
Over a four-hour span, Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed its air defence units had intercepted or destroyed 95 Ukrainian drones. According to Moscow’s Mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, 12 Ukrainian drones intercepted their path toward the capital.
