rescue-1122-saves-shepherd-swept-by-haro-river-flood

A man was rescued from the Haro River after a sudden flash flood hit near Marri Kunjour in Attock. Rescue 1122 responded quickly and saved the 45-year-old shepherd who was swept away while browsing livestock. The incident happened as strong currents pulled him into the river unexpectedly.

The emergency team acted under the high alert strategy issued by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. She had ordered all rescue teams and local officers to stay alert due to rising monsoon activity. The operation involved descending hundreds of feet into the river bottom to save the stuck man.

The man was visibly distressed but had no injuries. After being pulled out, he said, โ€œAllah Almighty granted me a new life.โ€ The teamโ€™s quick action prevented what could have been a fatal accident. Their response was possible because of the CMโ€™s early instructions during monsoon planning.

CM Maryam Nawaz personally monitored the rescue virtually and praised the Attock administration. She lauded Rescue 1122 for their courage and competence. The flood incident shows how timely planning and leadership can save lives in natural disasters.

The rescue was made possible under the monsoon preparation initiative led by the Punjab government. It showed the importance of teamwork between emergency units and local officers. Their coordination stopped a tragedy in time.

In another step under her leadership, CM Maryam Nawaz launched a new education plan. On her directives, free higher education is now available for children of industrial and mine workers. This programme will run through seven campuses of COMSATS University.

The Punjab government will cover all expenses. This move shows a strong focus on both disaster management and social welfare.
