Rana SanaUllah Introduces New Passport System

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has now announced the successful launch of a user-friendly passport system that meets international standards. Previously, the passport application system was full of hassle and stress. Standing in lines, then the complicated procedures made the need for a new passport system necessary.

New Process And Its Inauguration

The new system ensures secure travel documents and facilitates visa-free travel for citizens. At the inauguration ceremony held at the Directorate General of Immigration and Passport (DGI&P) Headquarters, the minister highlighted the introduction of e-passports, an online passport renewal system, and passport processing counters.

These initiatives aim to empower citizens, streamline travel processes, and contribute to the nation’s progress. The minister also emphasized efforts to strengthen partnerships with other countries for enhanced facilitation. As part of the initiative, 30 passport processing counters will be established in NADRA offices, providing services in areas where dedicated passport offices are not available.

Procedure 

  • The arrival of Applicant at the Customer Service Counter.
  • Fee Verification + Capturing of Photograph + Token Issuance.
  • Biometrics / Finger Prints capture.
  • Data Entry.
  • Verification as per Office Record. ( ECL/BL)
  • Interview and Decision by Assistant Director.
  • Passport Delivery (Collection of Passport)
