quetta-gladiators-reject-unreasonable-demands-for-naseem-shah

Naseem Shah, the 20-year-old pacer, is a centre of attraction ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season draft.

Ever since, reports surfaced indicating his departure from Quetta Gladiators, other franchises have shown their interest in acquiring him.

Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi are actively pursuing Naseem Shah and have sparked a social media frenzy with their posts.

Quetta Gladiators asked three players for Naseem Shah?

While United and Sultans posted just awaiting posts, Peshawar Zalmi’s Javed Afridi went a step ahead with an Instagram story, hinting at Gladiators ‘unreasonable demands’.

This further gave fire to the rumours that Quetta Gladiators sought Saim Ayub, Haseebullah, and Mohammad Haris in exchange for Naseem Shah.

However, Quetta’s Head of Player Acquisition, Nabeel Hashmi, debunked the claim, labelling it an “unreasonable demand” in a clarifying post on X.

Naseem Shah’s Probable Move

Amidst the speculation, there’s speculation that Naseem Shah could join Islamabad United after opting not to continue with Quetta Gladiators. Meanwhile, Quetta eyes hard-hitting Azam Khan as a potential replacement, or pace bowler Hasan Ali in exchange.

Franchisees will submit relegation requests for players before finalising retentions. Following the floating of relegation requests, all teams have the chance to match the player’s base category. If the player’s base category is not matched, they may be relegated to a category below their base category.

The PSL 9 Draft is set to follow the National T20’s conclusion, promising a riveting prelude to an action-packed season ahead.
