pm-shehbaz-army-chief-to-crush-indian-backed-terror-in-balochistan

At Zehri Auditorium in Quetta, PMย Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressed a grand jirga of tribal elders. They vowed to eliminate terrorism and dismantle Indian-sponsored proxy networks in Balochistan.

The Prime Ministerโ€™s Office said the jirga aimed to deepen engagement with tribal leadership while addressing current security challenges. Attention centred on Indian-funded groups that attempt to disrupt peace and halt progress in the region.

Blaming India directly, PM Shehbaz said terrorist organisations were exploiting local issues to gain public support. He named one such group as โ€œFitna Al-Hindustan.โ€

โ€œThe enemies of peace will find no room to operate inside Pakistan,โ€ he declared. With total public backing, the government, armed forces, law enforcement, and administration would finish this fight and defeat terrorism completely.

He also commended tribal elders for supporting national unity. Maintaining close ties with communities, he noted, was key to isolating terrorist elements and denying them influence.

โ€œWe have to make sure every citizen benefits from the trickle-down impact of government development programs,โ€ he said.

โ€œHistorically, the people of Balochistan have helped to preserve Pakistanโ€™s integrity; we expect their ongoing alertness against foreign-backed subversion.โ€

Armyโ€™s Response to Proxy Warfare

Field Marshal Munir, while addressing the jirga, warned of Indiaโ€™s direct involvement in a proxy war. โ€œThis Indian-sponsored proxy war is no more covert; it is an open and wicked act of terrorism targeting our people, our development, and our peace,โ€ he said.

According to him, the army holds solid proof of Indian support for terrorist groups in Balochistan.

He assured, โ€œThe Pakistan Army, with the unflagging support of the country and the bold Baloch people, will face and destroy every opponent, foreign or domestic, that dares to challenge our sovereignty.โ€

Both leaders saluted the courage of law enforcement and security personnel. PM Shehbaz promised full state support for the families of martyrs. He vowed that terrorists, along with their facilitators, would face justice.

The jirga concluded with tribal elders pledging their full support to the government and military for peace and development.

Earlier that day, PM Shehbaz visited the Command and Staff College Quetta. He interacted with faculty and student officers and highlighted the need for defence excellence.

He stressed strategic readiness, especially in areas like Balochistan, where Indian proxies continue efforts to destabilize the country.
