UPDATE: Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed the names of the 33 cricketers they have offered the central contract along with their categories.
They are as followed;
Players Demotions
- Rahat Ali — C to D
- Mohammad Hafeez — A to B
- Imad Wasim — B to C
- Ahmed Shehzad — Omitted
Players Promotions
- Shadab Khan — C to B
- Imam-ul-Haq — D to C
- Fakhar Zaman — C to B
- Faheem Ashraf — D to B
- Babar Azam — B to A
Pakistan Cricket Board has renewed their central contacts and has also dismissed 10 players, according to a report.
The board has decided to reduce the number of players from 35 to 33. This list was finalized by a four-member committee; chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, coach Mickey Arthur, skipper Sarfraz Ahmad and PCB Director Cricket Haroon Rasheed.
The following is the revised contacts amount;
Sources reveal that Mohammad Hafeez is the only player to have been demoted from Category A to B, and Babar Azam is most likely to take his place.
Shadab Khan and Fakhar Zaman are also expected to be promoted to higher categories.
