A huge number of Pakistanis are working abroad across the world, however, the majority are found living and working in Gulf countries. The major problem that comes in the way of expat Pakistanis is the education of their children.

Schools in the middle east and other Gulf countries are expensive and not everyone is able to afford them. People are then faced with the difficult task of sending their children back to Pakistan for studies.

To tackle this ongoing issue, the Head of the Governors of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has announced that schools will be set up in the Gulf region for the Pakistani community living abroad.

Barrister Amjad Malik—the Head of the Governors of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has mentioned that the advisory council has been working for the interests of the Pakistani community abroad and other issues would be sorted on a priority basis.

The Following Developments are to be expected for Overseas Pakistanis

  1. Welfare projects have been under consideration for the Pakistani community abroad that will decrease the rate of unemployment in expatriates.
  2. Overseas banks would be set up at embassy level
  3. Representation in the parliament of the country they are living in
  4. Housing Schemes to be introduced to give housing families of the deceased overseas Pakistanis.
