Former Test leg-spinner Abdul Qadir’s son, Usman Qadir, has tied the knot with ‘Chain Aye Na’ film actress Sobia Khan.

Khan confirmed the news on her social media. However, it is being reported that Abdul Qadir has broken ties with his son over this marriage as he was against the decision of marrying a stage artist.

Because Usman is currently busy playing cricket, the couple did not have their ‘Rusksati‘ and it will be held next year instead. The actress has added that she will not perform in theatre but will stick to TV dramas and movies.

Sobia Khan was born in Karachi where she received her early education before her family shifted to Lahore.

She stepped into the film industry by making her debut in a Pashto film ‘Kafira’. Besides acting in films, she also performs at the stage in Lahore.

Usman Qadir is a left-arm spinner, who has represented Pakistan under-19 team in the World Cup. He is the brother-in-law of Test cricketer Umer Akmal.

Abdul Qadir Khan is a former Pakistani international cricketer whose main role was as a leg spin bowler. Later he was a commentator and Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board, from which post he resigned because of differences with the top brass of Pakistan cricket. Qadir appeared in 67 Test and 104 One Day International (ODI) matches between 1977 and 1993 and captained the Pakistan cricket team in five ODIs.

Congratulations to the couple!
