Pakistan Army Fully Prepared To Defend Borders: COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir stated that the Pakistan Army will defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs. He warned that if India tries any military action, it will be met with a quick and strong response.

He gave this statement during his visit to the Tilla Field Firing Ranges, where he observed a large-scale training exercise called “Exercise Hammer Strike.” The training was led by the Pakistan Army’s Mangla Strike Corps and aimed to prepare the troops for real war-like situations.

Gen Munir said, “Let there be no ambiguity: any military misadventure by India will be met with a swift, resolute, and notch-up response,” according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

While visiting the troops, he stressed that Pakistan wants peace in the region. But he also said the country is fully ready to protect its strategic interests. He added that the Pakistan Army is always alert and capable of dealing with any threat.

The exercise was meant to test how well the troops could handle battlefield challenges, work together across different units, and stay ready for combat. It included advanced equipment such as multirole fighter jets, helicopters, long-range artillery, and modern engineering systems.

Gen Munir praised the soldiers taking part in the training. He said their spirit, discipline, and fighting ability reflect the Pakistan Army’s high level of preparation. He also called their performance an example of professionalism and operational strength.

The ISPR said that this kind of training helps the army stay ready and united in any tough situation. It shows the strong resolve of the forces to defend Pakistan from any external threat.
