ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has just released two game-altering handhelds: the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X. Hand-built in partnership with Xbox, both devices combine console comfort, PC power, and Xbox software in a slim, portable package.
The most exciting part for the gamers is that the two handhelds will ship worldwide this holiday season!

Hand-Built for All-Day Comfort
Both models feature redesigned, Xbox-inspired grips that feel like real game controllers. The Ally X takes it further with impulse triggers for deeper haptics and better control.
Whether youโre grinding through an RPG or playing a quick match online, the devices promise a more natural, fatigue-free gaming experience.
Turn either device on, and you immediately find yourself immersed in the Xbox world. The new software, developed using Xbox, brings a full-console interface with console features optimised for Windows 11.
With one press of the Xbox button, you can get to Game Bar settings, configure widgets, and then launch back into your game. But it’s still a Windows device, so mods, PC games, and third-party launchers are just a click away.
Two Models, Two Powerhouses
The ROG Xbox Ally features an AMD Ryzenโข Z2 A processor, engineered for efficient performance across AAA and indie games. It comes with 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a 60Wh battery, all contained within a light 670g build.
The ROG Xbox Ally X is upgraded by the new AMD Ryzenโข AI Z2 Extreme processor. It further comes with 24GB RAM, an enormous 1TB SSD, and a larger 80Wh battery. The device is AI-ready due to its onboard NPU and is tuned for next-generation AMD graphics features such as FSR and Fluid Motion Frames.

Built for the Future of Mobile Gaming
The 7โ FHD 120Hz displays on both models are bright, fast, and protected by Corningยฎ Gorillaยฎ Glass Victusยฎ. With FreeSync support, your gameplay stays smooth even in action-heavy scenes.
The Ally Xโs upgraded internals allow higher framerates and better visuals, perfect for gamers pushing performance on the go.
Global Launch Coming Holiday 2025
Both handhelds will release in over 30 countries this holiday season, including the U.S., U.K., Japan, and Germany. Gamers can sign up now at rog.asus.com for launch updates and pre-order alerts.
