Another One: A-Level Business Paper Joins the Growing List of 2026 CIE Leaks

Just when you thought the exam season couldn’t get any more chaotic, the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) security has proved that it can. In what is becoming a nightmare scenario for students who actually study for exams, the A-Level Business Studies paper has reportedly joined the growing list of leaked exams.

The Midnight Leak

While students were busy cramming last-minute definitions of ‘Liquidity’ and ‘Market Share,’ a different kind of business was being transacted online. Reports indicate that the Business Studies paper began circulating on social media platforms in the dead of night between Monday and Tuesday.

By Tuesday afternoon, the paper was out, with screenshots spreading like wildfire across WhatsApp groups and student forums.

But that’s not all, rumours are swirling that this wasn’t an isolated incident. Reports suggest that up to three different A-Level papers may have been compromised in this latest breach.

A Pattern Continues

This isn’t just a one-off glitch; it’s a “leak-streak.” The latest scandal follows the confirmed breach of the AS-Level Mathematics Paper 12 (9709) on April 30th, which affected candidates across Pakistan, South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

While Cambridge has previously used the polite term “shared prematurely” to describe these incidents, for the thousands of students who have spent sleepless nights studying, it feels like a total systemic failure.

What is Cambridge Saying?

When approached for comment on the Business paper, Cambridge International Education remained silent. However, following the previous Math leak, they issued a statement promising:

  • An active investigation to find the source of the malpractice.
  • Protection for honest students to ensure no one is unfairly disadvantaged.
  • Strict action against any centres or individuals found involved.

The May 7th Deadline

The clock is ticking. Cambridge has promised to share more information and a formal decision on how to handle the grading by May 7, 2026. Until then, the student community remains in a state of limbo.

As the “Leak-Streak” continues, the question on every student’s mind is: Which paper is next?
