The iPhone tax schedule from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been modified. Given that these luxury phones continue to be expensive in foreign markets, it is not surprising that these taxes are still relatively high.

Here are the most recent iPhone PTA taxes on CNIC from iPhone 5 to iPhone 14 series:

  • iPhone 5 Series – 7,843
  • iPhone 6 Series – 40,000
  • iPhone 7 Series – 98,088
  • iPhone 8 Series – 110,311
  • iPhone SE 2020 – 64,801
  • iPhone SE 2022 – 60,982
  • iPhone X – 115,298
  • iPhone XR – 95,685
  • iPhone XS -121,973
  • iPhone XS MAX – 124,562
  • iPhone 11 – 99,733
  • iPhone 11 Pro – 122,982
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max 123,838
  • iPhone 12 118,802
  • iPhone 12 Mini 116,037
  • iPhone 12 Pro – 129,531
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max – 122,822
  • iPhone 13 Series -130,000 to 150,000
  • iPhone 14 Series – 145,000 to 155,000

However, keep in mind that these taxes are subject to regular revision. They are also approximations because different market sources give varying prices for the same phone. For people registering these iPhones on their CNIC and passport, PTA has maintained two distinct tax regimes. You can see from the table below that you can pay less in taxes if you register your iPhone using your passport rather than your CNIC. This is due to the government’s desire to assist Pakistanis living abroad. However, those Pakistanis who live in Pakistan and have travelled before can also use this resource.

You can register your iPhone using your passport rather than your CNIC if you have recently returned from an international trip.

Here are the previous PTA taxes on iPhones on Passport:

  • iPhone 11 -79,167
  • iPhone 11 Pro – 100,302
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max – 101,080
  • iPhone 12 – 96,502
  • iPhone 12 Mini – 93,989
  • iPhone 12 Pro – 109,248
