Is there a single millennial who isn’t aware of the Pakistani pop queen Nazia Hassan? I highly doubt that. The legendary singer was a blend of beauty and brains and certainly revolutionized the music industry of Pakistan with her a nightingale voice.
It was her single ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ that catapulted her to fame when she was only 15 years old and later it was taken for the Bollywood flick Qurbaani. Little did anyone know that Nazia would go on to become the first Pakistani to win the prestigious Filmfare award.
Hassan was born on April 3rd, 1965 and died on August 13th, 2000. She began her career at the age of 10 as a child artist and gained immense popularity through the Pakistan Television (PTV) program Sung Sung.
