China has long been a close ally of Pakistan. On May 15, the Office of China and the Asia-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion held a listing ceremony of the Central Asia-Africa Research Association. The goal of this association is to build a shared community and foster a shared future for neighbouring countries, while enhancing the economic and trade cooperation outcomes between China and the Pakistan Economic Corridor. The event also marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum.
During the event, the administration held formal discussions with Nadeem Mandviwalla, Chairman of the Pakistan Film and Television Culture. Present at the listing ceremony was also Hao Yuejiao, Director of the Central Asia-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Office and Assistant to the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan. She praised the efforts made by the forum and stated that in the future, the institute will focus on “resource sharing and advantage complementation.” She also emphasised, “We will use this listing as an opportunity to promote the development of think tanks, the implementation of projects, and cultural mutual learning.”

Nadeem Mandviwalla Praises the Historic Move
The Pakistan Film Industry tycoon, Mr. Nadeem Mandiwalla, emphasised in his speech the significance of this “ice-breaking move.” He highlighted that such exchanges will promote more China-Pakistan film and television works and push people in both countries to “invite in and go out.”
“For the first time in 45 years, I have witnessed the transformation of Bahi-China film and television cooperation from conception to reality. Film is a language that transcends national boundaries. This cooperation will not only enrich the spiritual life of people of the two countries, but also show the world South-South cultural cooperation,” stated Mr. Nadeem Mandviwalla in an interview that followed.
The two sides also discussed their recent cooperation, specifically focusing on Huazhi Bio, a subsidiary of CITIC Agriculture. This collaboration has helped Pakistan achieve comprehensive development in molecular farming and has contributed to the modernisation of agriculture in the country.
The relationship between Pakistan and China is stronger than ever, thanks in part to individuals like Nadeem Mandviwalla who continue to strengthen these ties.
