Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt has come under the spotlight after his name surfaced in an alleged kidnapping and robbery case being investigated in Karachi. The case has attracted major public attention due to the serious allegations and the involvement of a well-known television personality.
According to reports, the airport police registered the case after a complaint was filed by Mutaal Khan, who claimed he was abducted while travelling to the airport on April 22.
Complainant Shares Details of the Incident
The complainant stated that he was heading to the airport in a cab to catch a flight to Lahore when a double-cabined vehicle intercepted his car. He alleged that four armed men stopped the vehicle and forced him out at gunpoint.
The victim further claimed that the suspects accused him of being involved in an accident before allegedly abducting him and taking him to different locations across the city.
During the incident, the accused allegedly snatched his mobile phone and laptop and transferred 8,600 USDT from his account. He claimed the suspects later abandoned him in Karachi’s Korangi Industrial Area before fleeing.
Police Investigation and Arrests
Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and arrested four suspects identified as Hamza, Saalim, Shahid, and Wazir. During the investigation, authorities also included Muneeb Butt and a police constable among the accused individuals named in the FIR.
Advocate Syed Israr Ali Shah, counsel for the complainant, stated that investigators suspected the actor of allegedly facilitating at least two suspects while they were hiding in Islamabad.
However, the lawyer also clarified that it was still uncertain whether the actor had any direct involvement in the alleged crime, as the investigation remains ongoing.

After the case surfaced, Muneeb Butt approached the Islamabad High Court and secured protective bail. The actor later appeared before the Anti Terrorism Court in Karachi and filed a pre-arrest bail application.
Following the hearing, the court granted interim bail against a surety bond of Rs100,000. The court has fixed June 8 as the next date of hearing for confirmation or rejection of the bail plea.
