Even though Pakistan’s national sport is hockey, we Pakistanis are well-known for our love for cricket.

Be it playing in international platforms, or our very own domestic league – Pakistan Super League (PSL), our love for the game is quite evident.

Ever since the formation of the Pakistan Cricket Team, there have been countless cricketers in the history of sports that have made Pakistan a proud country.

These cricketers have managed to go above and beyond, showcasing excellent skills in the field. They have shattered records set by legends and have made their records as well.

One such fantastic cricketer that has made our chest swell with pride is nonother than ‘The Professor’ or Mohammad Hafeez.

All-rounder Hafeez added another feather to his cap when he became the first male cricketer in T20Is to score 2,000 runs and take 50 wickets in the shortest format of the game (T20Is).

The 39-year old reached the milestone during Pakistan’s 2nd T20I against England in the beautiful city of Manchester.

Although Hafeez is the first male cricketer to achieve this milestone, there are already three female cricketers who have had this honor – Deandra Dottin of West Indies, Sophie Devine of New Zealand, and Stafanie Taylor of West Indies.

Social Media Congratulates Hafeez On His Record

Mohammad Hafeez has had the privilege to be captain of the Pakistan cricket team in all formats. Once in Tests and twice in ODIs. But it is the T20Is where he was at the helm for a decent period.

We wish the professor all the very best for his future endeavors and hope he continues to make his nation proud.
