Miss Universe is an annual beauty pageant that has been around since the 1950’s. It is a collaboration of the United States with a Thailand-based, Miss Universe Organization. Miss Universe is one of the four largest beauty pageants in the world. The others are Miss World, Miss Earth, and Miss International. Saudi Arabia is currently making headlines after enrolling its first-ever Miss Universe Candidate, Rumy ALqahtani.
Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios was crowned Miss Universe in 2023. It was the first time a contestant from Nicaragua won the contest. Meanwhile, a contestant from Thailand and Australia secured the second and third positions respectively.
Rumy is a 27-year-old model and content creator residing in Saudi. The fashion model has been an active member of social media. Rumy holds numerous achievements as a model. How Rumy ALqahtani Shared the News
She shared her participation in the Miss Universe pageant via Instagram. She said, “Honoured to participate in Miss Universe 2024. This is the first participation of Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe competition.” The pageant is set to take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The event happens mostly in extravagant locations however we don’t know where it’ll take place this year.
