A plethora of stars from the Pakistani entertainment industry descended on the red carpet at the grand Lux Style Awards ceremony 2019.
While controversy surrounded the event ever since the nominations were announced, the award show featured several prominent stars who filled the night with love, laughter, celebration, and entertainment.
Living up to the audiences’ expectation of showcasing fun performances, lovely tributes, and some surprises, LSA had it all covered. In fact, this time around, it was women who dominated the night.
Want to know how? The show spoke about women, their efforts and contribution to the industry. The Jeeto Pakistan star, Fahad Mustafa started the show dedicating the evening to the women.
Celebrating & Rooting for Women Empowerment
The show kicked off with an anthem on women’s resilience which was produced by an all-women crew and composed by the young popstar Momina Mustehsan. The performance also featured for the first time, a rapper from Lyari.

The Grand Tribute to Madam Shabnam
After the Lux Girls, Saba Qamar and Maya Ali gave breathtaking performances on remixed versions of the living legend, Madam Shabnam’s songs, the icon was given a memorable tribute by the king of melody, Atif Aslam who took over the stage, lending his vocals to the classic track ‘Mujhe Dil Se Na Bhulana’.
Shabnam, the idol and icon for many juniors came from Dhaka, Bangladesh to enjoy the show and was joined on stage by her on-screen partner Nadeem Baig making the moment even more precious.
Other than the women who stole the spotlight, the very digitized red carpet also caught a lot of attention proving that modern technology has made it easy for many to be virtually present and experience the magnificence.
