Cricket may be the first love of our nation, but soccer aka football, tennis, wrestling, badminton, and others are also a passion Pakistani sports enthusiasts share.

Local brands have now started to actively invest in the sport and sponsor the talented players to go abroad and win in big tournaments.

Brands are now teaming up with leagues to promote the sport in the country. This will also help construct the needed infrastructure to provide professional training and equipment needed to groom the players.

Corporate firms and organizations have become more active in contributing in order to give back to Pakistan. Supporting local talent is one way to do so.

Local brands like Osaka believe in innovation thus not only is this an achievement for the brand itself but an accomplishment for the nation.

Wrestling also took over the country when we heard that international players are flying in to take part in the first-ever 30 Men Royal Rumble in Pakistan where our very own Arbaba Fahim Kasi aka Panda emerged as the winner at DreamWorld.

Recently, we also saw Mountain Dew and Samsung partner up to promote E-sports. More than 10,000 participants came to be a part of the event and play their favorite titles including PUBG Mobile, CS:GO and DOTA 2 from all over Pakistan.

The talented Japan-based judoka duo Shah Hussain Shah and Amina Toyoda will represent Pakistan in the upcoming Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2019 which will open doors for them at 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

With many talented athletes and supportive brands to support them, the world of sports is once again ready to open its doors to the world.
