Lahore, Pakistan: In anticipation of the central Zuljinah procession on the 9th of Muharram, the Lahore City Traffic Police has proactively unveiled a detailed traffic management and security plan to ensure uninterrupted vehicular flow and public safety. The procession will move from Islampura to Khaima-e-Sadaat, drawing large numbers of participants.
Leadership and Deployment Overview
Under the direct supervision of SSP Traffic City Zone Naveed Irshad, the department has finalised strategic arrangements. The plan mobilises 2 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 30 traffic inspectors, 300 traffic wardens, and 12 specialized Traffic Response Unit (TRU) teams to manage the designated route.
This proactive deployment aims to ensure both public order and the timely clearance of emergency services, enhancing the city’s crisis responsiveness during the religious procession.
