Considering the determination of new prices to control market and inflation issues, the Karachi commissioner has issued a new notification for setting different types of flour prices in Karachi. The new retail price of the ‘regularโ flour is given at Rs94 per kg. The New wholesale price is given at Rs90 per kg up from the previous price of Rs84/kg. Additionally, the ex-flour mills’ price of flour no 2.5 has been fixed at Rs87 per kg, while fine chakki flour will be priced at Rs92 per kg.

For fine flour, the wholesale price is set at Rs95 per kg, and the retail price is Rs99 per kg. This adjustment in pricing comes as the city faces concerns over irregular pricing and a rising cost of living. The decision is aimed at ensuring affordable access to flour for Karachi’s residents, amid an ongoing struggle with inflation.
