Ishaq Dar Is Scheduled To Depart For Beijing Tomorrow

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will leave for Beijing on Monday with a delegation, sources said.

Diplomatic sources said Ishaq Dar will meet the Chinese Prime Minister during the visit. Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister Ameer Khan Muttaqi is also expected to arrive in China on May 20.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will host a trilateral meeting in Beijing with Ishaq Dar and Ameer Khan Muttaqi. The three sides will review the regional situation, especially rising tensions between Pakistan and India, according to sources.

The talks will also focus on boosting trade and improving security cooperation among the three nations. Sources noted that all sides are interested in building stronger ties and addressing shared concerns.

The ministers aim to directly tackle political challenges in the region. They also want to build better understanding and trust through regular dialogue. Sources said the goal is to help bring more stability, especially after recent developments that have raised tensions.

The foreign ministers will look at how to manage key regional issues, including those that affect peace and stability. They want to respond with joint actions where needed, instead of working alone.

While the talks include trade and economy, sources emphasised that security coordination will be a main focus. All three countries will explore how to improve cooperation in this area.

The meeting is seen as a step forward in regional diplomacy. It could lead to stronger political and economic partnerships between Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan.

According to sources, the three sides are entering the talks with shared goals — peace, growth, and stronger ties across the region.
